I haven't quit Dust yet but I've got one foot out the door. I decided to buy PS Plus annual membership instead of sinking money into Dust because of the glitches, lack of gameplay balance, and lousy communication policy by CCP. I wanted to invite my friends to sign up for Dust and play as a squad but I felt absolutely embarrassed to recommend it to my friends (who play games far more than me) because the user experience would be so inferior to the other games they've played.

Seriously. CCP, you don't communicate information uniformly (did you ever think to send out information bulletins via your player email list?), you make promises you don't keep (e.g. updated skill trees), and then you flub the implementation of changes (e.g. ISK over payments, continued unbalanced gameplay).

The scathing reviews by other gaming websites are well deserved. After 2 years of beta, you would think you (CCP) could have taken the best elements of past FPS games (gameplay and administration) and made a stellar game but you didn't.

With ANY online game, one of the first things a new player looks at is the community. A game can have a very steep learning curve, but if the community is right, new players have a better chance of flourishing. With that, the game itself has a better chance of flourishing.

Yes, a new player will find difficulty in the game, and encounter problems and faults which may impact their impression(such as the ISK situation.) HOWEVER, the support from the community(or in this case, lack thereof) will be the determining factor on whether or not the new player stays or goes.

Whether you're the best at whatever game you're playing, or you REALLY get enjoyment out of it, you continue to play the game primarily because of the people you have met. Not because it's fun, not because you're the best at it. But because of your guild/clan/corp and just the community alone.

So, to the OP, the ISK can be made back fairly quickly. In a Domination match, I can usually rake in 400,000+ ISK a match. Of course I also snipe, so my reward outweighs my risk, as I can usually always go a match without dying, or dying no more than once. If you use your militia gear, there is no risk at all(unless you're concerned about your KDR.)

This goes for anyone who spent the extra ISK and went into the negative. Hell, depending on how much you spent, you may have bought enough of everything(dropsuits, guns, modules, etc.) that for a while, you may not even need the ISK.

I dont want anyone stupid enough to do this in my corp, we dont need them. It will be good for the game if they quit. Call it a culling of the idiots. Player base I.Q. will raise up after they leave.

This game does not need you. It does not need anyone that went negative ISK. Hell this game really lose 99% of its players and still be fine. This game is founded by EVE, EVE is not going anywhere and continues to bring in more then enough for both games.

Compare the Eve/Dust relationship to the Wal-Mart/Lowes relationship. Right now Lowes is getting its butt kicked, the only real thing Lowes has going for them is Jimmie Johnson. Despite losing money daily Lowes will not die. This is because the same company that owns Lowes owns Wal-Mart. Wal-Mart makes more then enough to keep both up and running, and so far has been. Ever notice every Lowes is built next door to a Wal-Mart. They even share a their parking lots. Eve/Dust share a game world. Eve will never let Dust die, the 2 games are now linked. As long as Eve stays running Dust will stay running.

It's clear that everyone who is negative in ISK spent craploads of ISK that they suspected (or should have suspected) was added by mistake.

In fact, now that I think about it, these guys must've known they weren't supposed to have that ISK, otherwise why would they have gone on a crazy spending spree and put themselves in negative millions?
