I think we are all aware of the Logistics class' ability to out-fit most other classes due to their high CPU and PG output. This is naturally done to allow them to fit the 3-4 equipment slots that they have.
They might lack in eHP compared to assaults but that is easily countered with the high flexibility in fitting.
To reduce this advantage Logi has, couldn't you add to the logistics suits "each level of 'medium dropsuit skill' reduces CPU/PG usage of equipment by 5/10*%" (having the armor repair thingy as well is fine)
This way you could drop their CPU/PG to the same level as assaults, they wouldn't be able to fit more dmg/eHP than assaults BUT could carry loads of equipment and "logistizie" like they are supposed to.
Granted the Gallente racial would need to change (I guess) but that's the least of your problems now
*exact value would depend on balancing with reduction of base amount of CPU/PG of the logistics suits |

You logi haters are rich. I take a hit in speed, stamina, starting shields, and I don't get a side arm. You assaults aren't having any trouble killing logis on the battlefield. If we couldn't tank up, you assault guys would dominate the game more than you already do, which would be complete BS. |

Didn't we just go over this crap less than a month ago? Why are you guys so blind to realize the Caldari is the OP one because of the racial bonus at prototype level? |

Actually at proto level the difference in Caldari assault and logi in terms of CPU and PG is Logi: +70 CPU +14 PG -60 eHP -0,3 m/s movement
Assuming NO skills you are looking at enough extra room for a proto shield module. This would put them "6" eHP over Caldari assault "assuming for NO caldari logi bonus"
At lvl 5 armor and shield (for both) the higher basic eHP of the assault raises the difference to 60*1,25 = "75" But since the logi gets a free shield that gives 66 eHP it TOO is affected by the lvl 5 shield extenders ability making it 66*1,1 = "73"
So all this assuming the Caldari logi has no "Caldari logi skill"-bonus (+5% shield ext. per level) he is "2" eHP below the assault on eHP.
But if we look at both at lvl 5 Engineering and Circutry their CPU and PG difference becomes greater: 70*1,25 = 87,5 14*1,25 = 17,5
Subtract for the "free proto shield" and he is at +33,5 CPU +6,5 PG, with 2 eHP lower than assault.
So looking at them side by side now. The Logi compared to assault is at: +33,5 CPU +6,5 PG -2 eHP -0,3 m/s
-1 hi slot (to match eHP) +1 low slot +3 equipment slots -1 sidearm slot
(I didn't want to calculate the Dropsuit core upgrades too since I'm not 100% it's multiplicative, otherwise it's +35,175 CPU and +6,825 PG)
NOTE: That this does NOT factor Caldari Logistics bonus into the eHP. This is a simple comparison showing how the raw CPU and PG output of the suits is out of whack. |

I'VE SAID THIS SO MANY TIMES !!! but ok here it comes again.
Den-tredje baron wrote:IF !! all logis have to give something up this is how i would imagine it happening: LOGIS: overall bonus make equipment take 5% or 10% less CPU/PG per level. Then also nerf CPU and PG by like 10%-20% and make logis go 0.2-0.3 slower than they do right now. The CPU/PG nerf and the equipment bonus is meant to even out the difference so that putting on equipment that logis are meant to have won't be the problem. But if the logi tries to go all out complex shield this will now take up a bigger percentage of the overall CPU/PG than it would before therefore restricting a logi to go fx 5 complex shields or complex plates (LOL to last ). Logis are meant to be more squishy than assaults that's why we have lower base EHP and are slower than assaults. Instead logis are forced to use a big deal of their slots to try and even this out. Or at least this is what i do !!! Assaults already have this higher base EHP and speed so they can focus on stuff like putting damage mods or more stamina. Hopefully something like this will make logi fits get a bit more "squishy" but make them retain the ability to equip a lot of equipments and help their team. Just my idea IF !! IF logis need to get a nerf i'll rather have something like this than having logi slot layout bumped to assault level AMARR: 10% bonus to armor repair module and equipment effectiveness per level MINMATAR: 5% bonus to hacking speed and DISTANCE. CALDARI: 10% bonus to shield regen per level. <----( Caldari logis won't get a major EHP buff but will be able to attend downed players and get back into cover and heal up) GALLENTE: 1 HP/s passive armor repair. (galls pretty much stay as they are good now bonuswise ) ASSAULT: overall bonus 2% bonus to weapon damage. AMARR: They can keep their overjeat bonus as of right now. I can understand it' actually quite nice MINMATAR: 5% bonus stamina regain and maximum amount. CALDARI: 3% bonus to reload speed. GALLENTE: 5% reduction to armor plate drawbacks / or something different
I've said this quite a few times back when the logi debate was really really heated and i still think that logis doesn't need a major nerf hammer nerf but the core of the problem is the sad sad bonuses of the assaults. Redoing assault bonuses might not be enough and that's where lowering CPU/PG and making them slower comes into play. Last is ONLY ONLY !! if redoing assault bonuses is not enough. |

No, this is ridiculous I take a HP hit, a 6% speed penalty, no side arm slot and my shields recharge slower, and your telling me you want to further penalize me? I only get 1 more slot, a low slot, than a Assault suit of my race and the assault suit has sufficient CPU/PG to fit everything I can. I have to sacrifice using a Duvolle in order to use up all my equipment slots to help my team. So I think you should do some research on logistics and assault suits. |

This comparison is only relevant to a Caldari Logistics and in no way represents the other 3 logistics suits.

We are slow enough as it is, if we were to be made any slower we should get a boost to EHP to compensate for the decrease in our survivability.

And reducing our CPU/PG wouldn't help balance the playing field, it would bring the CaLogi into the level of a Assault suit, while hurting the other 3 logistics, on top of that most logistics won't sacrifice their survivability to use high end equipment, if my CPU/PG got lowered I can assure I would use basic equipment to compensate.

Your main argument is the CPU/PG cost of equipment for logis, I say we let logis get equipment at 50% reduction to CPU/PG when we lower their total CPU/PG.
I'd like to see logis being able to put proto equipment in most slots without having to sacrifice too much of their CPU/PG. I don't want them to downgrade equipment to std, I want them to gain very little from that sort of downgrade.
if putting proto hive, proto uplink, proto repper and proto injector costs them 100 CPU and 20 PG (about that number). They don't need more CPU/PG than an assault. |
