It seems that every domination and skirmish is dictated by whoever has the most uplinks down. I belive you should limit the amount of uplinks a team can place.
Why?
Because at the moment you cannot capture a point because they have about 5 uplinks around each letter so it is near impossible to get that objective. This is especially obvious in domination the winning team will most likely have about 5-10 uplinks around A. |

I agree that something might have to be done. Limiting the amount of Uplinks is not the way to do it though.
I've just made a thread that adresses this in a way + some other things.

Uplink Denial Radius.
The amount of deployable uplinks is untouched. They simply shouldn't be within a certain range of each other. Dropped an uplink? Good. The next one you drop must be 50m away or more.
Annoying as all hell, to get somewhere when you have 10 uplinks within a 40m radius. |

The problem is that now you can see uplinks that the enemy has deployed from long range so you have to spam them to give them a chance of not being destroyed immediatley. |

I've found myself laying out uplinks against the redline of an area while laying out more obvious decoys to throw people off. |

IIRC uplinks work by teleporting a clone to the uplink. So, from a lore sense we could just say that the MCC only has enough bandwidth to maintain a connection to ~5 uplinks at any given time. |

There should already be a limit, with that one that lets you drop like 2 or so, its determined by how many people are on a team, so like 30 something uplinks?
Yea that area denial thing sounds like a good idea. But honestly I don't see anything wrong with uplinks. I mean in BF2142 you could eject from your titan far out onto the map almost from anywhere. And we could spawn on a CRU from the Warbarge and just be fired down at the surface. There are plenty of reasons to suggest why we can get anywhere on the field of battle at any time. |

You do know Flux Grenades eat equipment for breakfast, right? 2 'nades into the cluster***k of Drop Uplinks will take out 70-100% of them in less than 2s worth of throwing.
Also, complaining about DU's in a capture and control game is like complaining about Nanoinjector's in Ambush - use your equipment to win the scenario! |

+1. The strategic element of good uplink placement is almost gone now that everyone can see them. Therefore the solution is to spam them. Make them visible on the map only when someone has eyes on them or when they're within someone's scan radius. Preferrably with a scan profile that has to be overcome by scan precision, allowing for expensive and/or skill intensive stealth uplinks (which should have a low number of max spawns). |

As experienced in PC battles the problem isn't so much the amount of Uplinks, but rather the short spawntime they give.
The fact that all Uplinks show up all the time to the other team is also a problem, yes. That will be fixed, but Uplinks will still need work as they will still have 3-5 second spawntimes. |

My first think as a sniper when I see an uplink is to shoot down.
I think other snipers should do the same. Its huge help to your team. |
