With so many mediocre to poor reviews going out by both players and regular review websites, I'm starting to think what CCP makes of the criticism. Have they said anything yet? |

Well, the truth is, Dust isn't finished. But then again, CCP doesn't think that it is finished either, so what are they going to say, but "It isn't finished"
What you guys, and to some extent the reviewers (though less so), are failing to realize, is that this is the new development model. CCP has been upfront about this. Their plan is to release early and then continue to add to the game. It's a jarring development model I think, but it is the wave of the future.
Dust will continue to improve with each free expansion, so the reviews right now, don't really matter that much I think.

CCP is probably not going to pay attention like Activision or EA would (herby firing the entire studio).
They're more likely to ID the problems pointed out that is not part of the vision of the game and fix those. |

Reviews and the game play experience at the moment will effect how much money people spend on packs. If it's not making money, then surely there is only so long CCP will operate a game that's running a loss.
Though that point has been flogged more than the proverbial dead horse. At the moment I'm just wondering what CCP's thoughts are regarding Dust after it's official launch. |

I just hope the Dust community ( And New Players ) takes these reviews and complaints with a grain of salt. Dust is a very good game for a niche audience. It's a first for CCP to develop a FPS. But what strikes me is with It's bugs and supposedly "sub-par generic gameplay", It's a first of It's kind. It has features no other FPS can offer, not even the upcoming ones cough, destiny, cough. It will also be continuously upgraded, again, no other FPS at this moment offers that. I'm not talking about map packs and new guns either.
The vision for this game is not finalized yet, and won't be for a set amount of years, as long as we keep its production afloat. That's my 2 cents and I plan on staying for the long haul. I may go and play other games, but always come back for literally more. |

Agree with Iron Wolf, I wouldn't worry too much abouthe reviews. For the most part they've all been very careful to stay in line with one another and with the exception of maybe 2 they have ultimately been "initial experience" reviews of the game and gameplay.
CCP will likely respond softly and to those who are close to them rather than through any kind of press or public channels. Despite what it may seem, the team has been doing butt loads of monumental server-side work the past 4 months since Open Beta and has put their everything to get to where the game is at now.
The best news is that from the chatter and podcasts, it can be understood that direct development has been getting easier by the day as they continue to expand and refine their tool-sets and design archives.
