Explain to me why im getting shot by dudes hiding up in their mcc? people are sniping from it. people are shooting swarms from it.
the swarms are more offesive because they can lock onto me and fire from outside my maximum rendering distance. i get hit and cant see where there are coming from you dont even see them on the overview map.
swarms max range excceeds everything but sniper rifles it seems as i can be hit from the enemy mcc in my redline which garbage lol.
what needs to be done is rather obvious here, so just go and fix this crap already. |

You're getting sniped by dudes in the MCC because that's what snipers do. Shoot people from elevated, safe positions. If they can shoot you, you can shoot them.
Why are you cowering in the redline? Show yourself and submit to your inevitable swarming!

If you dont't want to get shot, don't go near the MCC. Following your logic, red lines shouldn't exist either because you can't go there.
I see no logic in preventing people from shooting from the MCC, if this is such a big problem then at least move the MCC farther from the battlefield. |

Hostile MCCs are akin to heavily-armed mobile military bases. There's a reason you stay away from them. |

Yeah, the rendering issue is a big problem.
You sit in a sniper rifle, and vehicles render fine, but the pilots don't.
So your tank or dropship can get shot at from long range, but the fker shooting at you will never render.
It's very unfair. |

This isn't always the case. I've seen some snipers be protected by the MCC, which I could understand if it was shielded like the MCC spawn point (no one can shoot out or in), but there have been times I put my sights directly on the other sniper and all I get are the MCC's stats, even though the MCC had lost it's shield. |

Rendering is such a problem. I was in a blaster turret and shooting someone at close range while he was moving laterally across my view, when suddenly he disappeared and I lost my kill. The only telltale sign of his presence was that my team continued shooting their ARs at him. |

I've never had a problem with MCC snipers. But then again, I usually don't stand still long enough or run around in a straight line out in the open. I might get shot in the head once a game, but its mildly annoying more then anything else because I usually have an uplink close by. but then again I don't run proto most the time.

LOL I love the excuses you guys are making for this. You all really believe its reasonable that a sniper can sit in the MCC.....have a complete overhead view of the entire map......have the range to hit anyone on the entire map.......and is virtually impossible to kill back because the majority of the time the MCC will stop the shot in but does not stop the shot out......and you guys are OK with this?
This game is catering more and more to carebears. Where is the "supposed" hardcore Eve gameplay I always here about? All I see usually are ppl whining to get things that are working correctly nerfed (IE strafe speed, run speeds, gunplay) because they cant keep up with the skilled players......then those same played saying HTFU when CCP obviously unbalances or ruins something that needs to be corrected. How do you know that CCP is full of carebears?........is there a redline in PC? Yes there is. Is there a redline in Eve? No there is not. |

Actually.... I am. I don't really care if they do it.
What sniper wouldn't get out onto the roof of the MCC and shoot people and look at everything? I would if I had a GIANT FLOATING FORTRESS sitting there. Wouldn't you? If it were me I would also mount as many guns onto the MCC as would fit also. And if it were me, if my MCC was getting ready to explode I would ram it into their MCC. But thats besides the point.

From MCC there is NO complet view to the map! In the best case maby 1/3 part of the map. MCC snipeing is an issue (I dont argue with this) but its not that bad as you writeing. |

let me put it this way, large missile turret range is something like 230 meters, but a swarm launcher max LOCK range is 600 meters. the missiles actually travel well beyond 600 meters.
How am i supposed to fight something like that, when:
The rendering distance is less than 230 meters
Swarms dont render when fired from outside your max rendering distance
swarm launchers can shoot me from their mcc as soon as i move 10 meters out of my redline
this is a problem.
Iwouldnt be in our redline if i could actually see who and from where i was being shot from, but for now i just run to the redline because i have no idea where else to go lol. theres no smoke trail or missile flare from the swarms to tell me where they came from.
and even if i could see where they were coming from, i'd have to possibly move about 400 meters under fire just to get into range to engage him |

I have sniped from the MCC before (gasp!) and I can tell you that from my experience, I can see further than I can shoot. I can view a large portion of the battlefield, but if I put my crosshairs on anyone that isn't somewhat close to the MCC, than I can't hit them. The crosshair stays blue and no shots register. On some domination maps you can cover the objective though, and that's all you really need, right? ;) Same thing with swarms, too. They'll only lock when the target is relatively close.
TL;DR: Yes, they can see you, no, they can't really shoot you unless you're rather close (relatively speaking). |
