A bad review coming from one of the more popular gaming sites will deal a blow that this game can't really afford right now. That's in no way the point, the point is that a lot of what was said in the review is FACT. I as a player have had the same frustrations as the guy that did the review. He understands the ambition as do we all and acknowledges that it is quite ambitious and in ways should be commended. Yet, the game at its CORE and that means what it feels like to actually play, the game is weak. It DOES feel empty, and the controls ARE wonky and sluggish. These are statements shared and acknowledged by practically EVERY DUST player. The ones that stick around do so because we support the ambition of the game, however, ambition only goes so far and if more and more of these popular game sites put out these reviews (I believe Gametrailers did one too) then this game is going to become it's own self pun and fade to dust... just in time for the next generation of consoles.

IGN is actually a very reliable source when it comes to games. So is Gametrailers but that is more the hardcore site but the fact of the matter is 2 big websites that review games both had lot's of bad things to say about it. Although I felt IGN was more professional than Game trailers but he hit it on the nose, the shooting in this game is extremely sloppy as hell. Hence why most Scouts are untouchable.

Don't get me wrong, I love the game and its pretty much the only game I play on ps3, but I don't think any will disagree when I say that the game modes are nothing I haven't seen before. CCP basically had to kick the incomplete game out the door in order to have the 5/14 date and the number of problems with the build was evident, but over the weeks after numerous bugs were squashed and gameplay improved so CCP gets a little credit for that. Long story short, the game at its core is nothing original, the promises of EVE integration is one sided at the moment, and I'm not sure how EVE pilots can help us other than Orbitals, but I have faith that CCP will eventually get it right. Will it be too late by then? We'll have to see.
