Knives rock...but they're quite situational. You have to simply pick your fights wisely and realise that you aren't all that useful on some maps. During QCQ with lots of winding hallways it's awesome though.
And NOTHING beats the feeling you get when you take down proto heavies and snipers and they simply go down without a noise.
The reason you haven't seen all that many so far is because it takes quite an SP investment...and it's a different play style that doesn't suit everyone. |

A clever scout could always bunny hop until you have to reload...and those 2.5sec is all he needs to slice you up. Of course there aren't all that many good knifers (yet) ;) |

If the situation does not present itself, then a professional knifer will make the situation happen. It's called dropping your balls and running into the enemy pack. It's real fun. By the way, only a few flay lock pistol users ever managed to kill me. At least not without running out of ammo. Scrambler pistol users are even more fun.
Yeah, running into a group of players can be fun...only worse well if they're not clever enough to quickly disperse instead of panicking ;)
And yup, good ninjas are good at dodging FL  |

Pretty well...because after the plasma scouts miss, the knifers have 4.1sec to kill them without having to fear damage ;)
Plasma cannon has to be the only weapon I never died to using knives. |
