Pretty much this. When you try to go hybrid with the vehicles that are available now, it tends too end with an explosion and a good tanker/forge gunner/other AV laughing his or her ass off. |

Dual tanking will never be a 'thing' so please stop waiting for it. The rule is that Amarr and Gallente have armor and Caldari and Minmatar have shield, with some exceptions. |

Not in Dust 514. Amarr seems to have a tankier base suit with dual tanking capabilities. |

In EVE, dual-tanking doesn't work.
In DUST, so far, dual-tanking only works on Dropsuits, not vehicles. Technically, you can dual-tank vehicles, it just doesn't provide as much benefit as investing further into your primary.
So for now, don't do it. But maybe when they bring out Amarr and/or Minmatar vehicles, there might be more options. |
