I knew something was up on our end when I saw "Defeat" come across the screen. And it's confirmed by this video:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4PsL8DWKmI&list=UU7SCTqkWiBZc_AvDpjNAxfw
just skip ahead to 20:20 and you'll see that they have no armor left and we had 1 or 2 bars of armor left.
With all due respect, how is it possible to lose a match when you clearly have armor left and the other team..clearly does not have any armor left??? It was like that on my side as well.
They fought hard and beat us up pretty good but it should've been a deserved win for our team, based on the damage that's shown. |

Look at the MCC's and aim in.
If they held more null cannons, it was down to the time. |

Already posted by QG in another thread.
Basically the NF MCC got down to 0 bars, but still had health left. The STB MCC still had 1 or 2 bars left with a little more health.
What then happened was that the STB MCC got hit by Null Cannons/MCC Missiles first and putting it down to no health left.
Also note that when the battle ended NF held 3 Cannons and STB 1, therefore more damage going to the STB MCC.
Also some of the NF guys said the MCC health bars showed differently on their end than in that video.
So basically just stop the QQ and do better next time. |

NF had 3 out of 4 cannons active on their side before the end of match. Seems like it was just barely enough to bring STB's mcc down first. |

I know you're not new to DUST. Is this the first time you've seen this behaviour?
FYI, this happens all the time in close matches. I mean, I would love to get on board the OMG HAX train for lols, but I'm seriously surprised that you've never noticed this before. |

No offense, but they did have 3 of the objectives - 3 cannons firing at once will do enough damage to pop your MCC when it was as low as it was.
EDIT: Also, each bar is rounded to hit points. It is possible the they had HP left but it was so low that it didn't warrant a full bar of health. |

If I have seen it before...I wouldnt have been surprised. I have never seen one side's bars go to zero before the other and still won. Plus, NF had activated a third letter but it didnt go blue yet...unless just activating a letter allows your MCC to do damage. Game is over and it doesnt matter at this point. And if I saw anothe thread about it, then I wouldnt have posted this. I was just trying to make some sense of this. |

Sweet as man. I was unable to figure out what angle you were coming from here.
It's a common thing. It's not useful to think of the health bars as being anything like timers, because it's functionally unpredictable which MCC is going to be hit next. Depending on the timing, there may be one bar on one MCC, two on the other, but three bars worth of rockets aiming for the latter, so the MCC with more health loses all of its health before any rockets hit the weakest MCC. |

I have seen many pub matches full of mediocrity come down to who could hold more Null Cannons for those last 2-3 ticks of armor. This kind of win/loss is actually quite common when both teams are full of average dust bunnies with no major group or alpha players present. |

I've seen it happen when the team that lost had both more MCC health and more Cannons under their control. It can be frustrating, to say the least. |

I didn't watch the video, but also remember that rail gun tanks and installations actually do a small amount of damage to the MCC, so under the right circumstances, that could also help tip the tides.
Without watching the video, I can say there are definitely a good number of things that could explain this happening. |
