I am going into SCR with my respec. Anyone else speccing away from the AR? The nerf hammer is coming down on the TAR soon (hip fire and ROF changes). Personally I am waiting for rail rifles to get deep into any weapon, but the advanced SCR will hold me over until then. |

No. No matter what nerfs the tac ar gets it will still fit my playstyle as I doubt the SR will ever out do it. |

I tried the assault SCR a little while back to see if I wanted to spec into it, and I wasn't all that impressed. It was basically all assists all the time. It hits hard, but for some reason I struggled to finish people off with it. Plus I didn't much like it's hip-firing. I'll likely stick to my Gek and Duv after respec. |

FOTM? Almost everyone in this thread has said they are going into SCR to hold them over until new guns. There appears to be zero "OMG THIS GUN IS THE BEST IM USING IT AND INVESTING ALL MY POINTS INTO IT"
200K or so SP for advanced SCR, I doubt ill be requiring a respec to get two days worth of points back...
Here's a hint, the good players will almost always flock to single shot, percise weapons over auto-matic. The SCR / TAR are the only ones that offer that right now. It's not a FOTM. Yes, folks will complain about SCR once the TAR is nerfed, because in a good players hands, pray and spray weapons will always lose to skill based ones.
Luckily once the TAR gets a bit of a nerf you should see a bit of a split between TAR and SCR. Then once the rail rifles come, youll see a split between TAR/SCR/Rail.
But no, you wont see a lot of good players rocking spray and pray ARs, SMGs. Or "hope my splash kills you" MDs, or "hope you are bad at situational awareness" Shotguns or Nova Knifes. Why? Because all of those either make up for lack of skill, or rely on the other player giving you a good opening to win. |

No one is going to ask for an SCR or SAR nerf. They're not OP at all. They do about the same or less damage to shields than the tactical or normal assault rifles.. |

We might see more armor tankers as a result - if they adjust the plating to not eat so much speed.
There is absolutely zero inherent downside the shield tanking ATM - other than energy weaponry. They have yet to even increase the sig on those wearing extenders, not that that would effect anyone but scouts.
Realistically, I think energy based weapons should have a 75-70% efficiency on armor, due to the fact that armor regens at a much slower pace than shields. |

This might be true. Ive said from the start of the TAR era that folks will start complaining about the Scrambler Pistol next, since it currently is as powerful as the TAR in CQ plus it has the insane 4.5X headshot bonus. Right now the TAR is a bit easier in CQ cause of its clip size. But nerf the TAR and most TAR users will simply rock SCR and SCP and be 99% as effective, if not more so.
Hell I'm already almost as good with the SCR/SCP as I am with the TAR, and thats while having to deal with other TARs. |

Mine too, and agreed about the scr at least for me, everyone you should stick to what you like and have fun with. And for anyone looking to hate on my opinion or choices, bc I stayed with ar's, (no I do not use tac's) now what.... you all have a nice day ..=) |

FYI, they made it easier to land headshots with a MD now. |

I have, not because of the TAR nerf (never used it, I only specced to ADV to get the GEK) but because 1. I wanted to try something a little different (gone with the SCR, loving it) and 2. I found that the Exile AR suits me just fine and doesn't require any skill investment , so why keep skill points in ARs? |
