I myself deal with them by killing 'em with my weapon. If my method does not work, one could sprint away, and try zig-zagging. If neither work, get up in their face and strafe around while doing stuff to them. |

first option; don't let them get your shields down
second option; move very very erratically. flay has almost no splash to speak of so a direct hit it almost mandatory. keep at some distance so they have to really concentrate to aim.

I switched over my scout build to flaylock, sure its noisy and announces your position to the entire map, but its great for having some range when sneaking up on the lone guy capturing a point. Its also great as area denial, I've pushed back countless teams with it while the front line advances.
My respec will be ditching the shotgun for the FP. |

Hahaha yeah big ass fail on my part but you guys knew what I was talking about. Comunication is all about getting a message through, but thanks for the replies guys I went on ***** mode yesterday cause I got owned a couple of times by that bad boy but is all good today |

Why is every weapon that fires a slow moving explosive with an arc and a small clip considered a noob tube? They are very situational and a pain to keep filled with ammo.
Just shoot the guy using them with your Duvolle TAR like all the noobs do. |

Not standing still might help...their blast radius is tiny, so unless you're standing still or moving predictably, they won't hit you at all. |

Such a fun weapon. I used part of my respec to max the proficiency skill.
You're going to see two basic schools of Flaylock use in the near future: cover bombarders and feet shooters. The former will shoot the wall behind you or the ground beside you when you are trying to hide from Tac ARs; the latter will jump around like a crazy person and try to shoot at your feet. (Just keep your distance and they'll tucker themselves out.)
A proper Flaylocker will be the guy who pegged you square in the chest from medium range as you were turning a corner.
Before everyone starts hollering for nerfs, remember that the gun has numerous quirks and weaknesses to take advantage of: the range isn't spectacular, the missiles have a relatively slow flight time, they're almost useless against higher ground, the maximum (Proto) splash radius is only 2.5 meters, and the maximum (lvl 4 Minmatar Assault) magazine size is 4. |
