Well, they ARE supposed to be almost unstoppable. That's why they used to cost more to play than every other suit until some brilliant dev thought that everything in this game should be perfectly balanced instead of letting the Heavy be what he is.
You trade several power slots, all equipment slots, all movement and make yourself the biggest target on the field aside from vehicles. The tradeoff for this shouldn't be the privilege of being a really slow shotgunner.
In a game where aiming is damn near impossible, this all combines to make you the weakest target on the field because movement is king. |

The heavy is finally back to where it should be after the nerf fest in beta. It's the HMG that needs work. Devs wanted to lower the optimal range? I'm fine with that, but at least ramp up the damage and trade the incidental damage at max range with the AR. That way, heavies will actually dominate in their optimal range, be at least threatening at max range, and ARs can still own us from a distance, but they have to work for it a bit. |

I actually like playing as a heavy in this build much more so than in Chromosome. Have no issue with the suit and don't care about the HMG.

I do wonder sometimes why a projectile weapon that is 5x bigger that the AR! Does 8x less damage then the TAC AR... If you look on youtube the "mini gun" is so accurate its unreal and fires nato rounds... So why in 20.ooo years is it firing BB rounds lol... |

That's why I keep telling the newer generation to carry flux grenades. |

It's not Boundless, it's SixKin and it is my love.
Yeah your right, THAT spec is not so under power ( less range than standard HMG and no precision gain) in CQC so i trade range for DPS.Fine for me, but not so fine for people who like moving and follow the team.

But the problem is in your statement above: to be competitive (at high level or vs good people) we must run PROTO Armor, PROTO HMG, and all the best possible Gear we have
Unite this to the larger Hitbox and the few slot and then you come to the core problem
Heavy should have some kind of Passive resistance from small-medium Gun, we trade few slot, no equip slot, bigger hitbox, slow mov but we gain nothing? maybe raw Hp but caldari logi teach us that HP can be pushed up....
So passive resistance is a good thing and should be added, as a class bonus for Heavy, Feedback damage bonus is useless right now.
and to prevent ARscrubs to coming from ASSarmor to my Heavy suit, when the passive res is applied force the heavy to use only heavy weap. |

However when I am not dictating the engagement the heavy suit nearly dies as fast as any other suit.
In most situations heavies are just big, metal, walking distractions. The places they are lethal as hell are situational in the extreme.
It's just those situations are like a carnage fairytale. |

i'm ironically much beefier (more survivable) on my medium than my heavy, because i can strafe.
heavies cannot strafe to save their lives, so they take every single bullet. as such they end up being slightly weaker than an equivalent medium even with full complex shields and armor it doesn't make that much of a difference. regulators and rechargers are probably a better bet |

The most funny and interesting part is that all of these guys chiming are A) Tankers, B) Taxi DriveBy Murderers, C) Heavies and they ussually hang in packs.
Each advantage they can get, they take it.
What i dont get it, why are they all playing stuff that they deem so completely underpowered, while raping people left, right & center and want their stuff upgraded so they become unstoppable.
Yet, meet one solo on the field and they crumble like unskilled scrubs, instantly sending you fanmail after the battle about how unfair your tactics, numbers or weapons were.
Its funny.
ps: i got this little input port on my suit that says "99.98% Pure Tear Extract Only", love it when they give it to me. |
