So my style l of play is support/assault i usually run a repper on my assault suit along with the firepower an assault suit has, works out well. Now my decision is minmatar or gallente, assault I can't make up my mind as to whether which i'd benefit more from i'm well aware of their stats. So i'm asking both the minmatar and gallente assault users basically, how have they worked out for you? |

I think it's fair to say that the Minmatar assault will never have the tank acheivable on the other Races' suits, and the difference may be as big as 150-250 hp. And ofc you have the sheild tanker's weakness to fluxes, scramblers and lasers. With only 2 low slots your options are limited.
When you get fluxed you end up truly naked, with ~ 150-180 armor hp, waiting for you sheild regen to start.
Important to note that the built-in +1 armor hp/s is not affected by armor skills. With a single repper your armor repair rate will be +7.25/s with a proto repper and maxxed skills.
Logis justifiably won't pick you as their first repping taget.
But you get speed. And even with armor plates you're still faster that all the other assaults.
If your a roamer who's looking after multiple objectives it can make a difference.
The sidearm ammo bonus is very useful when you end up in a tight situation. With maxxed skills and a flaylock you'd have a lot of damage output. With an Isukone SMG and maxxed skills you can take down a lot of peeps with a single clip.
I'd say that in the end it's a good suit for a lone-wolf/ranger, so long as you try and use the terrain and plan your engagements. It's definitely not a toe-to-toe brawler suit.
