I have done this a few times for fun and out of principle thinking it would work. Guy in a nice logistics or the Blood Raider Saga charges at me and i keep dodging he finally gets out and i kill him hack the vehicle and drive off to find a spot to recall it planning to expand my repertoir and cut his.
Sadly I found out this does not work.
It would be great to be able to do this loosing your driver seat to a red you deserve to loose the vehicle I understand the Blood raider is a blueprint but I would simply like one if he looses it to me and I recall it off the fieldthis is the battlefield salvaging that is wanted. Sure he cares liitle about the car as it is a blueprint but the modules count.
Vehicles should not be recallable by blues that did not call it in, or not the ones who hacked it. The hacker becomes the new owner and will go to assets split apart in items and hull ONLY if he recalls it if he does not the salvage drones can dismantle it.
I understand their might be issues with ownership transferal but I can jump into floating ships in EvE if they left it. If i spent the time to hack he vehicle for which I get no points anyway I hould get the right to choose if I want todrive it around or recall it to keep for later.
If i recall the car gets ismantled into assets because I should not be able to call in a car without skills but at least I stole some assets. |

I believe the reason this doesn't work is because if you hack someone's vehicle, and the vehicle stays "alive" until the end of the round, it actually goes back into the original owners inventory? Please correct me if I'm wrong here, but I believe that's the current mechanics.
I'll go ahead and say I'm on the fence about whether I like your proposition or not. |

Yes, that's right. Plus, you won't be able to call it out unless you spend the ~8m SP I have to get the Limbus+ modules. |

Yes I understand not being able to use the vehicles without the required skill, I just want there to be a reason to hack some vehicles rather than blowing them up being the only way to hurt the person who called it in. Sure my assets would fill up but with markets opening it would make things interesting and till then, cause a new point of thought, blow up this car or rather keep it. |

This is the logical fix. However it would make sooooo many people very angry. With the current mechanics, the hacker gets a test drive, if they are feeling mean, they will crash it into a building at the end of the match, if they are nice they will return it to its original owner.
I'm guessing the mechanics are making up for the fact that we aren't fighting each other, we are hired by a company that wants to fight another company, and they hired our enemies. We aren't actually on opposite sides, we just like to make money. So by the end of they day we probably all go into a coffee house and talk about kill scores, and epicness while we sip on hot coffee. Then we transfer the asset back to its original owner.!! |

But the way they want to have salvage is against your way of thinking (every time we are killed we would lose nothing). we should be able to keep it if we hacked it or liquidate it for ISK. |

@Creedair Talor Various threads have talked about this and such an implementation takes time since when you recall a hacked vehicle it basically is changing ownership in the database and a myriad of other things. |
