I've been experimenting with using a keyboard and mouse for a little bit now. I got sensitivity set to 50%. I find it really jumpy, really hard to smoothly track people, but if I take it lower I won't have the turn speed I need to effectively speed tank(scout).
So how do you guys set up your mouse and keyboard to maximize your combat effectiveness? |

Depends on what your using. I have the eagle eye set up with a rat 7. It works just fine. I have dpi at about 3500-4000 and have the in game serting to 50, but i do have the ps3 setting to fast and maxed out the sensitivity on the eagle eye for the X and Y. When i had thr dpi at 6400 and the in game setting to 100, wow, that sucker could move. Im still fine tunning but im sure ill get it soon. |

So you're using an Eagle Eye instead of the built-in KB/M settings? Does that give you more control over the sensitivity? And how much difference does having a hardware DPI setting make? I'm using a Logitech Performance Mouse MX, which is fine, but the only sensitivity control is the in-game slider, and it would be nice to have more options. |

I'm still futzing with mine, but the reality is that it's tough to find a good setting with the current build. The most recent patch fixed the abysmal Uprising mouse controls, but it's still off. Basically, you can get the turn speed or the ADS speed right, but never both, and you can't adjust them individually. It sounds like a mouse with a hardware DPI setting would help, I have yet to try that. |

What kind of mouse are you using? That will make big a difference. If you have a crap mouse you will have crap performance.
I'm using a logitech G500 which has 5700 dpi. Still works fairly well despite the problems with this build. Set my in-game sensitivity to 90 and went to the controller tab and set the X and Y sensitivities to 100 each (someone said it's a bug that affects mouse sensitivity for some reason). I also use a large PVC nostromo mouse pad. |

Use a 1000 dpi mouse and set the sensitivity to 90. 100 is bugged. All your woes will vanish as you track and slay everyone on the battlefield. |

The eagle eye makes a big difference. It gives you further options of sensitivity for moving your mouse left to right (X) and up and down (Y). With those options and my rat 7 mouse i could turn faster and aim faster then i can with a ps3 control. I had to set my dpi to 3500-4000 and change the in game setting to 50 and its turning and aiming just as fast as the control can. Im still new with mouse and keyboard so my movement is still a bit off but the aiming is much more accurate. |

One thing to keep in mind is that DS3 and Move settings effect the mouse because :ccp:
I had a lot of trouble playing this game until I disabled Aim Assistance in the DS3 options and set the Deadzone Width/Height to 0 in the Move options.
It's still feels sluggish compared to proper, hardware based PC mouse control but at least it's usable once you change those settings.
e: For reference I'm using a Logitech G400 with my in-game mouse sensitivity set to '90'. |
