It's really just the principle of the thing; no need to make it extremely costly, but make it cost /something/. Why have something that's completely free in both sp and isk when you an make it another isk or aur sink? They already have them on the market, just take away everyones bpos. And you're not safe if you're not out in the open, I can put one of those LAVs damned near anywhere, you're only safe on a roof and in a room, and that's it.

Eve and Dust, has Vets of both games have said many times today alone, ARE NOT EVEN REMOTELY THE SAME GAME. You really can't compare the too. They are linked, that is all they have in common. Learning the art of the side step will help alot.

I respect someone A LOT more that put their SP into forge guns. I was a heavy and tanker during Chromosome, I know how difficult using a forge gun is.

I am still waiting to be able to manufacture all the stuff my corp need for battle on the ground. and in this (no so far future i hope) free stuff is a big NO NO. I mean if eventually all the dust stuff get manufactured by EVE then there should be NOTHING free as big as a vehicle. P.S. once the noob friendly matchmaking is there there should be free/reduced price vehicles available in this new player experience.. time based blueprint? like after you first day, the second day you log-in you get a message saying you get a free 2 week of unlimited LAV just to try it out. wild drafts ideas here..

If you look at that narrow front profile, you'll also notice that it looks like it'd be damn hard to actually hit anyone with that thing at high speed unless they're standing still and not listening.

Although, I do think that since they are a free vehicle that they should be a complete p.o.s.... A single swarm or av gren should pop it, even if they have alot of sp into vehicles. If they want something good, then pay for it. I should be wanting to jump out of my bpo lav as quick as possible once I reach my destination, but I find it rather beefy and can quickly get out of harms way when I get into trouble. If I wasn't so respectful to the actual vehicle drivers, then I'd be calling a free lav every time I spawn and never run a scout to get some place for a hack or droplink.

I would like that too, I just want them to be junk and have the isk variant cost be a non-factor like the other militia bpo's. Some debate can be given about the standard bpo's though. I don't think those are junk, but the community seems to have let them slide because the isk costs are still fairly low.
