Spies have done more damage in Dust than I ever imagined. One move brought down the PFBHz empire. AWOCX's has become than a infestation that a corp used to just hold burden to at the heels of their boots. They have now became a seed of an Apocalypse. Spies have done more than any soldier I've met. It makes you question, how long were these seeds rooted and when or what occasion will the bloom. If can PFBHz fall, then all great empires can. This is what learned, keep your friends close and enemies even closer . |

Spying is a part of this game, a part that the devs are probably happy to see as it adds an extra layer to the game. But it is far to easy to do. Without proper corp management tools there is a chance that spying and AWOXing is goin to do serious damage to the long term prospects of this game been a success. Spying should be possible but it should also require effort and not be without serious consequence for those discovered. The element of risk involved for everyone would make it far more interesting. |

Agreed, all its doing right now is preventing corps involved in PC from recruiting. Not that people aren't doing it, but using feeder corps doesn't seem like it should be a necessity to prevent awoxing.
New players are the ones being hurt the most. I think there should be a recruitment ads for players in NPC corps. This game is meant to be played in a corp. CCP should be focusing on ways to push new players into corps and getting them trained (PVE and tutorials). The gap is wide between vets and newbros, having newbros getting stomped while running solo in pub matches does not equal player retention.

C'mon now...
While I'm not a huge fan of how EASY this current "tactic" of AWOX'ing is, I won't say it destroyed PFBhz. They had internal issues, and it all came to a grand finale recently.
Some players moved on, some kept the PFB name going. |

Spies had literally nothing to do with PFBHz going down. It had more to do that both the directors and the majority of the good players all left. That AWOX thing was battles attempt at humor. |

Wow, you went to Internal Error as well? I thought you were a hardcore bunny. And since PFB is now its own entity, I thought you would be there with them. |

From what I've gathered from the forums is that the better players felt like they had to carry some of the other players in PFBHz. And some of the leaders wanted to make it a mentor corp as opposed to others who wanted to go full elite.
Losing to Hellstorm that many times may have just frustrated some and they couldn't take it anymore. I can only imagine too.....because when you build up the reputation that PFBHz did in the closed beta for it to be tainted by consecutive losses.......you know, not everyone can handle that sort of thing. It could have happened to any corp, I guess |

Lets see if they can rise again |

It was more that this group of 8 players that consistently won against anyone that we played got tired of others that had grown a huge ego when they had never played and then when we moved into a 16v16 it turned out that our people were not prepared at all for the new PC battles with many of them wasting SP and not knowing what to do without being told.
Several of the Hellstorm battles were winnable we just always had an excuse for why we couldnt carry the bottom 8 every match. The only way PFBHz would have continued in its dominant form was if myself, JLongshot, or Laz could have stepped up and done some mass purging. Just none of us had the time/will to do it and decided to leave. You may see a PFB playing nowadays but it is almost entirely new PFB members. The core group that founded PFB is all but gone. |

AWOXing is small timer stuff. It only takes a day. Can easily be fixed. And is usually not enough to break a corporation or a corporation's wallet. *Shrugs* They're everywhere too. P sure there are some in my corp right now but Idec...I got something for dat ass. People I can really respect are the ones who have been sleeping for a long time, trying to get into the director roles waiting to strike at the best moment.
Srsly. I'd have to hate you and love you for making my gaming experience unique. |
