Hello,
I discovered an extremely dumb spot on Skim Junction Skirmish

From this point you can see over the whole map, with 1 tank you can lock down all enemy vehicles. there is no safe spot for them. especially on the Communications Outpost version of Skim Junction.
What was CCP thinking? you can only get there from 1 side and the tanker up there can easily hide from all enemy fire. During pubs this is not that big of a deal but this map is also in Planetary Conquest. I personally think this is a terrible thing.
My request is that CCP turns that area into a redline or give the opposite a road to also get to the spot.

I can still kill your tank with a swarm launcher. If the people you are playing against don't do that then its their fault. |

Swarms will only tickle him. |

If you can somehow call down another sniper tank to pin the other guy on that mountain, you can lead a group of AV players into the northern hills. In those hills, you can become completely untouchable if you duck and weave right. After getting closer to the enemy hill, ambush the tank and make sure to block his escape.
Now I know what you'll say. "I can't call down a sniper tank because the other tank will destroy it first. (or you just haven't skilled into it.)" On maps like these, some vehicles and players turn invisible at certain distances (at least it does for me.). The tank won't be able to hit it, or just call it down behind a hill.
"But getting a squad of AV is difficult." It is, but if you really want to destroy that tank, you need AV gear and a lot of motivation. Long range attacking will not work (Unless you're really really really lucky, or the tank is really really really stupid.) Call down an LAV, or go into the hills and sneak up on the tank. About 6 AV grenades will take a gunnlogi down, and maybe only five for Madrugars, so bring a nanohive or extra people. Then, just unleash your weapons all at once.
This might seem like a lot to do, but CCP wanted to add that region for a reason, and I think it was to give snipers a place to finally snipe on that map. To me, it feels like every other match where a person gets up to a really high spot where they can't get hit long range (on top of buildings). The only way to get at them is to get up close and personnel, no matter the cost. |

2 things Jade Tech:
1.) If CCP knew every which way things would be used and abused they would not have added many things such as bouncing dropships, isk for people afking in MCC, or hill glitches for snipers builds ago. There are just way too many things to worry about when building a brand new game to catch everything (you may try to claim this isnt new but this is technically the first release of the game ;)). Now saying this they have also worked their butts of to try and stop things from being used and abused but they also realized it will happen and thats why they have subforums such as this one u currently typed in.
2.) Your madman method of taking that tank out might work. The point the OP was making is that in a skim it means nothing, but in a PC match it means everything. I cant dedicate 6 guys to go blow up one tank because my tank cant actually fight their tank yet their tank can shoot everything on the map. |

We are aware of this problem at this location. We had fixed it at one point and then re-adjusted the sizes of the playable areas. It was most likely an oversight on our part to ensure it didn't stay a problem.

We just need a route up into those hills from various directions. I have tried to sneek up on snipers and tanks from the Western slopes and I have been unable to find a way up. There are routes from the South but my victims are usually looking that way. |

i have actually found a way up to get there from the other side. But still a difficult spot to get to. |
