really, the HMG, the SMG, the flaylock, they dnt do anything to shields and most enemies shield tank before armor tanking. on top of that when caldari stuff is released the minmintar will instantly lose.
in addition the new minmintar suit is supposed to have high mobility but i already see the logi suit getting owned and still requires massive amount of skill. to do any really damage with anything minmintar you need protogear, good luck getting that dying a million times to galente, mar and caldari weapons.
the minmintar dont even get that many slots or pg. whats up with that? |

This is making me want to try out Minmatar. I love challenges and rise to the top, especially since there are so few Minmatars. You can do it. They are still useful if you keep practicing. |

i hope the next patch will fix this because there is no longer a suit imbalance but a racial imbalance.
no extra slots, no extra cpu/pg, no extra damage, no extra range, a little extra speed, few shields and armor, weapons only do damage to armor and near nothing to shields.
look at the hmg, i can pis father than the bullets can go...
and the flaylock pistol has the blast radius of a water balloon.

Cant really take this topic serious. First of he obviously hasn't played EvE Online, because the winmatar are the envy of everyone even post nano nerf. Secondly the SMG is awesome, it even sounds and feels awesome when you pump 80 rounds into the dead TAC using sob who has been killing you all match. The flaylock needs a bit of skill but when you get used to that thing you laugh as you kindly evacuate enemy combatants from the field of battle in clouds of smoke. HMG is just biding its time for the day when more corridors are put on maps, then the only use for your bunny hops will be to look more hilarious for you tube videos. As for the suits, well duck tape and rust get you only so far my friend. |

Yea whoever thinks Caldari has ever been favoured is very fond of smoking crack. Historically they haven't been able to pvp for **** (in the eve universe) and we don't have the luxury of ECM in Dust, and common wtf is this caldari assault 2% to reload all about? Makes me wanna punch sponge bob till his ass bleeds I swear to god. |

I always figured their suits looked scavanged and held together with tape and a prayer because Minmatar were like insurgents and rebel freedom fighters trying to save their people from the evil Amarr Empire. Kind of hard to have 100's of years of tech development when you've been enslaved during that time.
They seem to be kicking butt in territory battles though. |

well that sgood to hear, i actually didnt know that. thats pretty cool. ididnt know that about eve lolololz,
the smg, needs a minor buff, the flaylock needs a buff as well, the basic ones are almost useless. the hmg well im an expert with it, but the overall mechanic needs a fix. the damage is good, (needs to do little more to shields but not too much then it would be OP. about 97% would be fine).

You get built-in armor repair and speed... You can add a crap load shields / armor and still run Forest, run... fit tons of things you don't need in the extra utility slots... feel good about youself for using recycled parts... Why not luv? |

Minmatar weapons annihilate armor tanked dropsuits, so amarr and gallente suits are your *****.
Amarr weapons massacre shield tanks.
Gallente and caldari hybrid weapons kill everything equally.
Missiles kill armor.
Until missiles come in EM/Thermal. then shields will be dying a lot more. |

Ahh my friends wait till the Minmatar get there own AR and CCP eventually adds weapon customisation mainly ammo selection
I foresee epic Minmatar duo pairs, one with EM rounds and one with Fusion rounds
As for there suits there CPU/PG are a little light on but they get tonns of lovely slots not to mention there base armor repair (every matar player carrys around ductape) means it makes a awesome duo suit when they both fit nanite injectors
Then you have the best BEST part.. Extra ammo in your sidearms!!.. Which really isnt that great next to others really, but its kinda nice if your a little bit odd like me and run around with duel 100 round SMG's |

I think I have said this in like 30 other posts... Dust might have been released but its still in massive development. We just gotta keep the EMO rage to a minimum until the game is fully underway.

Well, maybe we Minmatar don't need weapons in the conventional sense. Have you considered a four to five high powered slot suit ninja brawler running complex melee damage mods and two complex profile dampening mods. With at least 300hp per tap you won't see the pain that are my fists until you're already at the respawn menu. |

Which is exactly why it's crazy that Cmade the Amarr the "omnitankers" in DUST. Definitely should have been the Minmatar, or some pirate faction.
Also, let's not forget the other Minmatar weapons that are in the game: Mass Driver, Remote Explosives/Mines and Locus Grenades. The Minmatar are one of the better represented races in terms of weapons. And don't tell me that REs and grenades don't count. If they can kill, they're a weapon.
Amarr: Scram Pistol, Scram Rifle, Laser Rifle (3)
Caldari: Forge Gun, Swarm Launcher, Sniper Rifle, Nova Knives, AV grenades (5)
Gallente: Shotgun, ARs, Plasma Cannons, Flux Grenades (4)

I've played almost exclusively as a minmatar scout this build- only strayed out into minmatar starter fits a few times.
I don't know if it's just because I'm used to minmatar scouts with kin-cats, but the minmatar medium suits (which are supposed to be the fastest of the medium frames) feel slow and clunky. |

I have a Corp mate who's got a Proto Minmitar Scout, and he just wrecks everything. I forget if he uses an AR, but I know he runs around with a Proto SMG and Nova Knives, and will gank anyone in sight. He moves too fast for anyone to effectively deal with him. And that armor regen, plus whatever he's got going for his shields... he's good to go 10 seconds after any given firefight. He just kinda ninjas everyone. |

The scouts need more speed. They only get .1 more speed than Gallente scouts, even though speed is supposed to be their advantage. |

My Minnie ADV - scout with nova and SMG does just fine against armour and shields. I was extreamly pleased with the SMG when I first started using it after the latest SP reset and I would recommend it to anyone who likes speed tanking.
The Minnies are traditionaly not ment to be very good at any one thing (maybe speed) but rather very versitle at using multple tactics.
