I would like to suggest something like captains bars or other symbols on the side of vehicles that only the blue side can see for their own vehicles. These bars would indicate how high up the highest level or lowest level turret, shields, armor has been upgraded on the vehicle or dropship.
Why? Because if you jump in an LAV or drop ship to gun for somebody who has not upgraded their blasters, you are going to waste the match not making any kills.
So you might as well pass on that opportunity and run your GEK38 for the match. On the other hand, if you saw the vehicle had 3-4 captains bars on it, then you know the turret has the ability to inflict damage and you can score points.
Right now, when a drop ship squaddy or tanker says they want gunners, I ask the embarrassing question first, how good are your weapons? I don't want to waste time in a tank that is not going to score kills and will possibly blow up 1 minute after I get in it.
It would also help the team know just how strong the light mechanized force is that is heading toward the enemy forces. |

you can tell turret and vehicle level by the colors usually, usual color= standard, white= advanced, black/red= prototype. then you have white=assault, yellow= logistics, dark blue= scout LAV, green is sentinel (did i miss anything?) *also if you look at a hav/lav/dropship/suit it will have its type MLT STD ADV PRO so on and so forth* |

Well since the time you wrote this, I have tried to be conscious of this and look for it.
It is really difficult. I don't know if it is color resoltuion on my T.V. although it is HD, so I don't think that is it.
I'm gonna stand by my original suggestion of having some symbols because they could be less ambiguous and, besides functionalotu, I believe it would add some "cool" to the look of the higher upgraded vehicles to have something like General's stars or something.

You can also tell AUR vehicles from the others because they have a camo. |
