Every other weapon in the game except tanks and dropships have adv, proto, (and sometimes) has their proto equivilant. AV would not be OP-seeming if we just had proper tanks to pull. Tanks are okay in pub matches because its rare youll find a proto forge or swarm, but in PC matches theyre useless. CCP, please give us these bc you have already given them to just about everyone else. |

AV doesn't need huge changing, but we need proper vehicles. Especially dropships. |

You're asking the wrong questions, O'Dell.
Instead of asking "where are my hugely more expensive vehicles with slightly buffed stats?" ask "Where is my reason for using vehicles at all?"
Where are the massive maps that would require infeasible lengths of time to cross on foot? Where is the vast open ground between objectives where vehicles clash in an effort to provide safe transport for infantry to objectives? Where are the small but vital points that small strike teams will be carried to by dropships? Where are the hundred plus person teams, where a corp can field an armor unit, a basic infantry unit, scout teams, and air assault units?
Without stuff like this there's not really much need for vehicles. On the small maps we have now run and gun is the rule. Vehicles are at a huge disadvantage due to the restricted mobility and large presence of cover for infantry that is unavailable to them. Some day, when CCP ups map and team size we'll see some incredibly cool combat scenarios, with air strikes, and ambushes, and shelling entrenched positions from afar. Until then, us vehicle guys are kind of SOL.
We should also be asking "where is my capacitor?" |
