I think Uprising borked Dust, though I have hopes for the future.

Especially now that you're here.

I think that it has a lot of problems, but I'm hoping that the devs will fix them.
That broke MAG too, in the end, really.

There is no neon colors on the forums. Not sure how you'll fit in.

Honestly almost quit the moment I came here and realized that.

You will cry when you compare the game modes to MAG. The gameplay itself is serviceable but uninspired. At least you have a "real war" instead of a "shadow war".

I just got into it 2 days ago but finding it hard to like it.
Was just hoping to hear from other peeps on what they think of this game because im not seeing anything worth sticking around for.

I agree, the game is falling further into mediocrity. Uprising messed this game up. It's prettier but the gunplay leaves much to be desired and where are our 24v24 and 32v32 matches? They may never even happen.

Ya I tried all the game modes last night or at least the ones I could get into.
One was a clusterf&*ck which I didnt mind because at least there was action.
The other one like domination is just waaay to much running around not seeing anyone for my liking.
Not to mention the player base seems small because I ran into the same players all night.
Kind of lame for a new game to see the same peeps every other game.

Ya the gunplay too me is sloppy and non sensical.
Even tracking someone on the move the glitch and stutter unless thats just on my end but it just seems so poorly done.

Uprising broke some things. If you can bear it, dial down to 480p and it will smooth out the controls at least.

I played Skirmish, Ambush and Domination.
I liked Ambush solely for the fact there was more action but it kept spawning me besides the enemy team so that confused me a bit.
Other than that there isnt enough players in those other modes to make it remotely fun or action packed at least in my limited experience.

If only Domination were as cool as it was in MAG.

I played Mag and loved it until it fell apart and I think this game is bad in alot of ways.

It is more the lack of hot spots than the maps are big. Aside from the 1-5 objectives, there's essentially very little reason to be anywhere in particular. MAG had huge maps but they also had layered objectives so you were always moving somewhere with a purpose.

FYI, Tactical ARs are broken worse than the pre1.03 Valor LMG, you'll drown yourself in reddot tears if you use it.

Always a nice choke point or high traffic area to farm kills.

I honestly want to recommend you simply walk away, but on the other hand, there is no one else out there even trying to cater to what made MAG great. CCP may be stumbling, but they seem in it for the long haul. If you want a translator for MAG/DUST, I can log on and share the bits I know

I've been awaiting your activity on the DUST forums. You've missed out on some classic threads. It's great to see all the usual suspects are beginning to find their way onto the DUST forums.

My opinion on uprising is that it's trash. PC is underwhelming. FW is a joke. DUST hasn't been able to capture the same magic MAG had in terms of action or scale. CCP has pretty much half assed everything, and left us with a fairly mediocre game that is only a great waste of time until PS4 comes out.

This game is soo underwhelming that I dont think it can dig itself out and with PS4 on its way I just dont see the point.
p.s. still pissed I missed out on the forum fun with all the Eve nerdoids.

The very first build, they had a game mode that was truly something fun and had the potential of something unique, a pleasant merging of BF3 Rush and MAG Domination. The game has been dumbed down for reasons I cannot fathom.

I say this with full sincerity, CCP seems intent on correcting their mistakes though. They literally had no on in charge of balance and now they just hired someone to do just that. I'm too far gone to pull out until it's a corpse, but while there is light on the horizon, it is a long way off.

Ya well its free and there is nothing but garbage on the XBox at the moment so I will play from time to time just to see but thats being kind.
There is just soo much that is wrong with it I know its done but I got nothing to lose keeping in touch with it.

I thought it was fairly new and then after day 2 of seeing the same people in every game made me wonder how long this game had left and it seems like not much especially considering PS4 is on the way and this game seems like a PS2 game at best.

It's not great. And my Valor tribute suit has sleeves.
Honestly, the main thing that's keeping most players here is the potential. The game is itself is pretty bad. The promise of Dust releasing as a AAA shooter was just marketing bull. But we've been promised updates and hotfixes, so most just grind through it.

Kind funny coming from MAG. MAG had a great base game, but not any dev support. Dust has a terrible base game but it at least has Dev support.

I'm willing to enjoy it while it lasts. Might as well stick with the cool kids and all jump on to the next thing when it arrives together Destiny is looking pretty at least.

If CCP had just bought the rights for MAG, we wouldn't be in this rubbish :)

I have 10 mil SP and I love this game. It could be better (the effing framerate in PC!!!), but it's still fun.

I can't imagine what it's like for new players.

I usually get the hang of games after a bit but like you said, if I can stick it out which I dont know about...

Even if you don't, leave the passive SP on. If you come back and the game's survived and actually become decent, then it'd be worth it.
