I take it this is a common occurrence then.
My OP said:
"I finally gave in and thought I would give the game a try today. After waiting for it to download, then waiting for it to install, I finally get to start the game. There is a small update as I expected and now finally, after all that, I get to play it. Or so I thought.
Now I'm stuck sitting at the game launcher while it downloads another 1.33GB patch before I can play.
Is this normal? Will I have to go through this every time there's a patch released for the game? If it is, then let me know now so I can delete it from the HDD and never look back. Crap like this is why I gave up on Metal Gear Solid 4. 20 minute cut-scene, 5 minutes installing, 5 minutes gameplay, 10 minute cut-scene, 10 second walk down a corridor, 20 minute cut-scene, 10 minutes installing etc. The gameplay isn't enough to justify the constant downtime. I just want to play the game. Is that too much to ask? It had better be the greatest game ever made, unlike Metal Gear Solid 4.
Ok, that's the end of my rant. But seriously if this is going to be a reoccurring thing, just let me know now, as I really don't have time to waste waiting for huge downloads all the time when I just want to play a game."
But if they can't even get a forum to work properly, I guess I won't bother with this game then. Glad I haven't spent any money on it yet. |

Downloads should be streamlined so new players can get get into the game quickly.
CCP Devs should update the sony base file to the current version. |

I agree, but at the same time, if the OP doesn't have the patience for a patch he likely wont have the patience needed to get comfortable in Dust. |

You're a year late, the game has been updated multiple times. Just download the updates like everyone else has had to do. You're only downloading them all at once because you got here late. |
