To see how bad it was for the noobs, and wow is it bad.
In academy I wrecked obviously. Frequently hitting 30+ kills with no or little deaths.
First game out of the acadamy, went 22-40, playing my absolute best. Lost 2 million ISK in dropsuits.
Corp was TeamPlayers, the biggest crutch users on the game, every last one of them using a tac AR and blood raider LAVs, camping the redline. As soon as we spawned we got demolished. But hey, at least I got 200K isk out of 2million back. 
So cheers to Teamplayers, using crutches to drive new players away from the game. And will cease to exist the moment CCP learns how to balance the god damn game. |

Alts for loser, tryhards, and gypsies. Never trust an alt, ever.
But yea, it is horrible. To the point that is becoming a real concern. Hopefully it will work out in the end, though. |

I was shocked to see how low CCP set the bar for the academy. Pretty much everyone in the thread where they asked for recommendations was suggesting far higher requirements before being booted out into real Dust.
Matchmaking or something needs to fill the massive gap between out of the academy and end-game players or we're going to keep hemorrhaging new players as they get frustrated by being pubstomped. |

I agree. I also don't think no name loser corps should pride themselves on killing noobs with overpowered weapons. It just screams out "d*ckhead" |

Being a newberry myself, this is nothing new or interesting. Even without academy, people proto pub stomp (in squads no less) because they enjoy stepping on noobs. Try and take that away from them and they'll give off unreasonable biased arguments defending their reason for stepping on newcomers.
I however, will continue to expose them by taking them out with nothing but standard gear. |
