Now, I have been on this Beta since May of 2012. I remember the days of multi-stage skirmish 1.0.
With the coming of 'Uprising' I was truly looking forward to the reinsertion of the Skirmish 1.0 style of conquest. If not in the PUB Skirmishes, then at the very least in FW or PC.
To my dismay, NOTHING. Any particular reason why CCP failed at returning a much needed variation in this tired system of PUB stomping (or if you are unfortunate enough to be under 5 million SP, being PUB STOMPED), of USELESS and No-MIC using Faction warfare playing blueberries, or even the SAME-OLD monotony that has now turned into Planetary Conquest.
'Uprising' was supposed to be the coup de grace to the FPS world of persistent interactions and consequences. Instead I feel like I have not played anything REALLY new yet. This is not to say that the addition of the new weapons doesn't spice things up, and the new suits are nice (thought I would like to just about slap who ever it was that sat down and devised the racial bonuses for the suite specializations), though I think it was cheap to have just color changes added to differentiate the assault class from the logistics class, the fact that only a handful got anything besides medium frame suits, or even heavy frames. Plus the utter lack of having a full array of racial weapons at release is MEH! (this is primarily due to the fact that the TAC AR is now king and every try-hard-blow-hard only used this weapon making variety on the battlefield newt to impossible).
But what REALLY IRKS me is the total fail on the promise of bring back Skirmish 1.0. You guys got us going with the teaser at the Fanfest Keynote speech only to be let down almost like a poor hand job. WHY CCP??? Are we ver really going to get back Skirmish 1.0???
And IF you do, would you also do us the favor of working on smoothening the terrain and the velcro on the side of every structure. You have no idea how FRUSTRATING it is to try to run around something only to have your oat or suit caught on nothing but thin air and then get fraking killed. Or to have that random gravity well of a pebble stop you dead in your track in the middle of running after a potential kill and then have them turn around with TAC AR in hand and hose you.
I often wonder if you guys are actually playing the same game we are or if you are even on the same planet.
Just questions of curiosity. |

Old skirmish was awesome and we plan on bringing something similar back, especially for PC battles.

Team True Grit would love to use it for planetary conquest. Also possibly different mode for different districts. We shall see. :D

This is correct. Most of us are just as excited about the idea of bringing back Skirmish 1.0 or a much similar gameplay mode. We have other priorities / tasks right now, but as I have stated in the past, it is our intentions to have it return. |

The game only has 2 real (simple generic) game modes with some slight variations, what exactly is bigger priority for the level design team right now? EDIT: I'm not trying to be sarcastic or rude, I really would like to know. |

No offense please, I'm just very curious myself. From my perspective this looks like a pretty derp decision and since I don't want to live with the impression that CCP's employees are as competent as they appear I'd like you to share your reasons for delaying this.
P.S.: Just so you can imagine my confusion, I think not having Skirmish 1.0 at this point in the game is as confusing as having Counterstrike 1.0 released with only a temporary deathmatch gamemode implemented. |

Surface infrastructures, new versions of current game modes, new terrain. Fine tuning what exists, and fixing bugs.
We are watching and listening to you guys and we are discussing the things we see on these forums. |

It's more of the already established game modes on the new terrain in development. |
