You're beating a dead horse.

Me and many others made threads about this months ago in closed beta.

There's a noob academy thing now for players under a certain amount of WP. Don't know how that works, but it seems to not been working too well as it kicks people out the academy too quickly.

I figured this had been talked about a lot. It's kind of scary that more for this hasn't been implemented since the closed Beta.

I've tried getting my friends into this game and TBH it's really tough. First off the only gameplay modes available are ones where new players are getting stomped by proto-tacAR players. No one should be told what they can and can not bring into these battles but there is no other options for players after the battle academy. The whole skill and equipment set up is daunting enough but even for F2P it can be hard for someone who really loves the idea of this game to actually have fun playing, and stick around long enough to learn anything.

I'm an Eve veteran and you are never completely safe anywhere in New Eden. The same should go for Dust, but at least when managing with that huge skill curve in EVE you aren't dealing with high skill challenges. It's like starting out in Null-sec or Low-sec. Even veteran players have the option of staying in Hi-sec. I can imagine this game really picking up speed the second it becomes noob friendly.

If people have a problem with the depth and complexities of this games as they compare to COD then it's simply a preference thing, but too many people who are ready for what this game is, can't learn the basics anywhere but on the battlefield..... which would be fine if that aspect was a little more ironed out.
