When stacking multiple weapon modifiers the weapon modifier stat still does not show the correct amount of damage increase, because the stat does not properly apply the stacking penalty.
In my case, I have 5 complex mods stacked on my suit and stat shows a .61 increase to weapon damage, which is mathematically impossible. I know on the backend the correct damage is being applied, but it would be nice to know exactly how much damage I am doing. |

Agreed. This seems like something that would be relatively easy to fix. |

Stacking penalties do not work. Each damage module add percentage dmg to current modifier. It's not easy for CCP to fix it(some how). We are reporting this since year maybe. |

@OP: It's not mathematically impossible at all. In fact, it's just math.
1.1^5 = 1.61051
Now, they're still not showing the _correct_ numbers, with the stacking penalty applied, true. But what you have to keep in mind is that the percent modifiers are not added, they're multiplied.
Hope this helps clear up that you're just seeing the wrong number, not the WRONG! number. Or somethin' like that.
@Sylwester (#4): I dunno for sure, but CCP has stated that the penalties are being correctly applied on the back-end, and that the bug is just in what's displayed. |

I get that part, but aren't the multipliers suppose to be added as a total of?
I thought bonuses were added to each other and then became a multiplier of the base.
(Not including the stacking penalty)
5 Complex Mods = 50%
Base Weapon DMG * 50% = Weapon DMG with bonuses |

Stacking penalties do work. there is a display bug in the fittings screen. That is all. |

**** no. percentages are multiplicative. I'm a bit cranky due to seeing this issue raised constantly by the mathematically challenged.

Apparently, this should have been fixed in the downtime today. |
