It's been made clear several times that one of the primary duties of the appointed CPM is to establish a method for players to vote in future CPMs. I would like an update on the progress/status of this endeavor.

While it is one of their chief responsibilities, chances are that CCP & the CPM will hold off establishing the elections until closer to FanFest 2014 as that is the same time frame they hold the CSM elections in EVE. They've been in office for around 2 months or so and since then Uprising and launch have came and there are additional issues to the core mechanics to the game to address rather than the election system being determined.
CPM0's term was, to my knowledge, never determined to be for a specific time period. You can only assume that their position will be a full term that anyone on the CSM has, which is one calendar year. |

We've had minor talks amongst ourselves to discuss our stances and thoughts on how CPM1 and beyond should be decided, and had a few arguments about it.
No meeting has been set with CCP regarding the issue to 'settle it' officially. |

It will take a meeting with CCP over it to start the ball rolling on our end as well as we will become more aware of what is and is not possible. |

Would it be safe to assume that, through these conversations, the matter of determining a proper vetting and election system for the CPM would be determined closer to next years Fanfest or is the impression that CCP & the CPM will handle it before the end of this calendar year? |

We're looking to have some proper, orgnanized discussions about it sooner rather than later though. |

I was under the impression that CPM0's term was going to be somewhat truncated compared to the typical length as a carry over into a proper voting system. >_< |

OK thank you, as I said it just seems more likely to be the case than having an election during the summer etc.

I believe there was no mention of that nor hinting at that whatsoever, even so things change and CCP could have decided that having CPM0 on longer than they expected was the better choice for the time being. |
