... At least not in the ratio that this game has it set to in regards to how fast you can walk forwards.
I've experimented with knifing, and it has not gone horrible, but something I noticed is I will not ever get to knife someone who knows I am there. I can only gt people from behind or on the side because if they see me coming at them, like if I jumped out right in front of their face from around a corner, even though I'm only 4 maybe 5 feet max away from them, once they start walking backwards I just can not close the ground at all. It's not that they kill me too fast, in fact many times they freak out and misfire all their ammo, even though I'm so close. The problem is I seriously just can not close in on them at all and someone ends up killing me, either them after reloading, or one of their buddies. And I'm running the Dragonfly Scout Armor, so it should be moving forward faster than other armors move backward.
If you don't quite feel what I mean, go ahead and take up knifing. You'll see what I mean real fast. Everyone backs up when they see knives, so you'll get plenty of opportunities to see how unrealistically hard it is to advance on an enemy moving backwards.
Not many other FPS's let you move backward with such speed and acceleration as this game, and for good reason. In real life you do not move backward as comfortably as you do forward. I know this is in the future, but it is just too unreal. I think this might also be a huge reason people complain about the aiming. People wobble and dance in all directions at nearly the same speed so it's hard to hit them. I get that we don't want this to turn into one big knife game, and I seriously doubt that it ever will, but I just think the movement speeds for their directions needs to be looked at. IMO everyone should be moving forward a tiny bit faster, keep the backward speed where it is. |

Forward at current speed side step at 80% of that backwards at 60% of forward speed
Applies to both walking and running. Reasonable? |

No, you are wearing exoskeleton with townsend hardware chips on it that provide you survive in hostile environment. Why wouldn't you be able to jump-on in it on two meters despite the fact that it weighs 5x as much as you do. Or why wouldn't you be able to run backward with same speed as in-front if '3 000 years in future' equipment is installed to your dropsuit? |

Pretty much, and this isn't CoD where you go combat knife someone with repeated success. And, why chase someone with knives, just shoot them. |

Clyde Night, What kind of dropsuit are you using, and do you have some modules that cut your signature on it? |

He said he uses the Dragonfly Scout suit. You can get a kill with nova knives upfront and personal, but it is very difficult to do on a veteran player. |

Fair call, but it doesn't explain why I can't jump over a pebble in my heavy suit. |
