Akaruiwrx Deadly Blue Dots RISE of LEGION 2	Posted - 2013.05.21 18:37:00 - [1] - Quote Just finished watching the new xbox one announcement and I have a few thoughts. It looks like a 1980's VCR its ugly as hell compared to the current 360... wtf going backward M$ why? Features... its a really awesome cable box and they kept on beating that horse the whole time... I wanted games not a cable box .... I would have loved them to provide some real content. COD: Ghost = Lack Luster.... it already looks old especially after the beauty that was the BF4 announce and game play demo. Over all I found the whole thing underwhelming I was expecting so so much more so now after this I have to say I'm scoring it Sony 1 Microsoft 0 What do you guys think?

I feel sorry for GameStop, redbox and gamefly. Us console gamers RELY on used games, and micro$oft have kicked us in the teeth. Thankfully my ps4 is already pre ordered

You still need a Sat/Cable box and it connects via HDMI pass-through. They said "you will be able to switch between games and TV instantly!" I don't know about everyone else but I have an A/V receiver (4x HDMI inputs, not 1!) with a remote that allows me to do that now. Now here's the technical bit, a button on the remote says "SAT/CAB" and another button says "GAME". It also allows me to have different sound set ups for games, TV, movies etc... Also, why would I want to be in a situation where to watch TV I have to have my TV on, Sat box on, AV receiver on and my Xbox on... When I could just have the first 3 on and cut out the console, saving on the elec bills. Surely the most pointless "feature" ever conceived. Literally nothing about the "one" makes me want "one".

I don't know what M$ was thinking it's like they fired anyone on the xbox team who was at all into game and instead replaced them with people who were into multimedia more than gaming. I just don't know what they were thinking. Even if it has these features the gaming should have been the focus. If they'd focused on the gaming and let us "discover" the tv features I bet more people would be stoked about them.

Actually after listening to a few more of the developers speak and watching some of the Microsoft Videos... yeah the forced install and disc being locked to your console is DRM.
