So I did some searching, and didn't find any results for what I'm proposing.
Ever since the closed BETA, I've noticed how quiet the game is. This is probably due to me still being an active Battlefield 3 player, but that doesn't make it any better. I know we're still early into the game, but what I propose is, at some point, to introduce player-character voices. This wouldn't be necessary if most people used mics, but the sad fact is that most people don't. In fact, very few do. So, to fill the emptiness where my teammates voices should be, I suggest adding some recorded dialogue that could be used dynamically. If a grenade is thrown, and is within X meters of someone, their character should call it out. Designating or spotting enemy units, vehicles and objective should be followed with a verbal response, giving audible guidance., and so on. I realize I could be in a minority with this one, but it's just a suggestion. Personally, the game to me feels very cold and mechanical.
Agree or disagree? Tell me why! I want to see this topic explored, instead of swept under the rug. |

agreed, because that lack of talk between soldiers is a slight bit odd to me.
if there was difference in sounding of voices from heavy, medium and light, and even more uniqueness when you touched into the different races, then you could come up with a rather dynamic sounding feild. would also give me a reason to listen to what was going on around me besides when a sniper's slug whizzes past me |

I don't even do this. I've got the game volume almost completely turned down most of the time, so that I can listen to music. It works for now because TV volume doesn't affect Bluetooth volume.
As for the different races, geners and suit sizes, that hadn't even occurred to me. The battlefield really could sound very dynamic with all those different voices coming through in local and character comms |
