Man, I can't wait to see all the nerf QQ threads. Also, the MD will never be the FotM. That thing actually requires skill to use instead of a modded controller.

What I'm quite aggravated about it is that I pretty much need to spec into a sidearm which is not Nova Knives due to the extreme framerate drops I get in CQC - impossible to hit anyone in NK. Assuming this gets fixed in the coming weeks, I might be stuck with a weapon I don't like.

Alternative is to defer sidearm specialization for now - another sub-optimal compromise.



The problem with that logic is that very few will have enough foresight and patience to bank unused SP until the next patch to benefit from the next FOTM, thus gimping your character for months on end.

What really happens is that in the next patch TAR will be gimped, and, say, MD will be the new king of the hill. No one will have enough SP to skill into it, so it'll take weeks for the news to get out and people to spec into MD.

And when that happens, the QQ of TAR users used to 10:1 KDR will be epic.

I am only getting the respec because of the change of only needing level 3 in basic to unlock specialization I have yet to use the Gal medium proto I only use the Logi suits or occasionally the STD basic for AV fittings so having level 5 really is pointless for me.

The nerf hammer won't always come down. You might see more buff nails on things to counter the FotM when it's not something game breaking like the TAR. Look at how often you see CaLogis running around with the SR on the loose.
