As a method for increasing equipment diversity and player choice create a new verity of uplink which has higher onboard profile dampening. Other stats on the uplink to be balanced accordingly so as to maintain proper Meta level scaling.

Actually, I would like to see them fix the visibility on all the drop uplinks. Right now, even if you look at them from 500m away and through tons of walls, you can see them... not to mention nanohives.

It's kinda gamebreaking in a way because you can almost tell that there is someone there because these show up almost instantly as they are deployed.

However, that isn't to say I would like to see something like what you said. Covert Ops Uplink in which you need an Active Scanner or VERY high passive scanning to be able to spot it. And you would only be able to destroy it if your HUD sees it, not by just throwing random grenades.

 Thoughts?

That's more or less what I'm seeking

The ability to see all links everywhere needs an address one way or another but having a CovOps series of links that would require either best skills or an active scanner to bring up on the HUD would be a good addition IMO.

Having them actually be cloaked as well, now that's a though I hadn't considered.

 Thanks for the input.

 Cheers,
 Cross

Yeah posts #3 and #4 got my +1's.

I also don't see addition of cov ops links as a solution to current problem.

i rather like the idea of a new line of links that cant be easily spotted, but having less available charges to spawn in with. in doing that you could do the same with nanohives for a covert supply drop for those that just fought through the main line of troops, and needs a quiet spot to restock a bit.. though also, less available rescources to use at once

I think they pop up instantly to prevent pubstomping
