Yep, bombs.
In Eve we have smart bombs here I want a bomb strapped to the underside of my assault dropship. I think it would be completely reasonable that this bomb could be detonated if shot by small arms at any point (when attached to ship, while falling, as it lands on your squad, etc...). Just think how fun it would be. |

I like this idea! bombing strafes or something? Sounds like something that would be a good addition for the capability of dropships, and maybe it would require a gunner of sorts as well? Not a smart bomb though.... if you get a smart bomb on your dropship I want one on my scout. |

I support this idea but only on a smaller aircraft that is designed for such use. |

Okay dumb bombs with a dedicated bomber on dropships (you would need to refill your bombs at a supply depot after use thus limiting your mayham capacity). As far as fitting them only to smaller vehicles (ie fighters) I feel like this is too restrictive. Why not just make them a module that any vehicle can fit? In the case of an LAV it would drop from behind the vehicle or some such sillyness. |

I'm in favor of bombs for dropships and fighters, but only dumb bombs of the Battlefield 1943 variety, like this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_detailpage&v=bRtfMQVyYqs#t=4s
A very small explosive radius with a very high damage rating would make skillshots mandatory, creating a high-difficulty weapon that is difficult to abuse but absolutely decimates in skilled and trained hands. |
