And if it's the awoxing going on, that's not a glitch, nor was it only known to CPMers. Anyone with half a brain figured that out.
Yeah, I don't seem to understand either. Now if only someone would kindly post a link to one of such threads... |

Huh, so was Kane Spero one of the posters?
But seriously, monopoly is bad for the economy. |

Is it really exploitable? I've seen two cases personally where my corp attacked a district, lowered defending clone count to 0, only to find it sitting at 150 afterwards. One of the defending corps claimed that as a bug that was, apparently, outside of their control. |

But seriously, monopoly is bad for the economy. If you really want to know why don't you just ask your top brass? You guys are the ones monopolizing it btw - this sort of bug would never be one we'd use. It's dirty and under-handed. As if all the sabotage wasn't bad enough. You CRONOS guys will take every bug and call it meta won't you? :P
Alright, my last post came in a bit too late.
But anyways, regardless of whether it is exploitable or not, we've also fallen victim to this bug and had to order additional attack orders, so there is no monopolization from our side.
But, still, I have my suspicions that it is merely a bug that can't be influenced by anybody. This will be my firm belief until I see the post with exact instruction on how to achieve these results. |

That shouldn't be something anyone would hide and should be reported on Feedback, right?
As a matter of fact, it wasn't hidden. Here you go. |

Oh well, I think I saw one of the threads mentioning that CPM members used their status to gain info on exploits and posted it on the forums. Maybe I misinterpreted or anything, so sorry for confusion. |

The alliance still got whopped from what I heard, You're referring to their awoxing agaisnt hellstorm yes? This is a separate issue where it is possible to add clones to a district after clone count hits 0, thus preventing change of ownership.
Did you check out the link I posted earlier? Here is a follow-up quote from a member of one of the corps that shows that the bug doesn't seem to be an exploit:

No need to cause more forum drama, especially since the last REMOVE CPM thread got locked. Unless, of course, you guys are willing to present all the relevant information yourselves and potentially provide what's necessary for proper reporting on it. General populace needs to know about the scum sitting on CPM who are exploiting. In the interests of keeping slander to a minimum, I think it'd be more beneficial to the community to presume one innocent until proven guilty. Like I said, if you have more evidence that points to this, I'm all ears. Can't run an article on something this potentially big with such shaky accusations. If it's really something you're not allowed to post on the forums, though, then we appear to be at an impasse.
I absolutely agree with your point of view. All in all, here's hoping that in a few hours we will get most, if not all, of the answers from CCP. |

Why, yes I did. Considering the fact that they've been silent for the entire weekend... |

The last thing that got them into the office on the weekend was the Orbital Spam Exploit. If there's really an issue, they might actually have been looking at it already. But probably not; you'd still have to make them aware of it first.
Aren't there enough threads on the issue already? I just don't feel like counting ATM, sorry. |

Why are you so fixed on the notion that it's an exploit, not a bug?

CCP Nullarbor wrote:Mysterious Extra Clones We are also deep in investigating reports of districts coming out of lock down and generating more clones than they should, causing issues for corporations trying to attack them. Our early analysis suggests this is not the result of players exploiting some loophole but just the system behaving incorrectly. This is my top priority at the moment to track down and fix for hopefully Wednesday or if not, shortly after.
Good to see this bug is taken a look at. |
