The numerous problems that come from having multiple unconnected battle servers in a single universe are awful. I'm not saying separate the universe. In fact, I'm saying the opposite.
Connect the universe.
No, not Tranquility. That's already connected. What I'm saying is: connect the battle servers, and have players connect to whichever is the fastest for them. That's right. Connect the battle servers. For example, if there was a corporation that lived mostly in North America, and another corporation that lived mostly in Australia, if the two were battling over a district, don't force the North Americans to connect to the Australian server or vice versa. Use a high capacity, high speed connection between the servers. Therefore, we can connect to one server, but play on another with minimal lag.
Light can travel to the other side of the Earth in 70ms. While it isn't instant (it is a little over 2/3s of a tenth of a second), it is a whole lot faster than current speeds.
I don't much know what the logistical problems with it are, and I don't need to, but do something to connect the servers. I know you haven't normally dealt with these problems since EVE isn't the sort of game where you need a perfect connection speed, but we can't live with the sorts of lag we are getting now. |

CCP needs to launch a strategic network of satelites into orbit then release an eve and dust special system that connects to this uplink network (of course they will be using fluid routers) then when ever we connect we are connected by the networks to CCP spacestation that in turn houses tranquility and all the battleservers allowing for nesr seamless commhnication to the server.
Gosh why didn't you guys think of this. |

I agree I like playing people from other regions but the way it has been laggin HARD as of late is really bad. |
