Would be as simple as making it so that only people with permission are allowed to enter PC matches as squad leaders. Now you grant any member in your corp that ability, well... you're an idiot
But this thing were anyone in the corp can join a PC match was also pretty dumb CCP. |

It would be as simple as adding a kick feature, like almost every other FPS game has. |

Cool so the spy director who is in charge could kick everyone and accuse them of AWOXing and get them all removed from the corp despite them being legitimate players that 'where' loyal to the corp. |

How would that stop anyone? Anyone can create a squad and thus be a squad leader. |

If a spy worked their way up to director then congrats on the hard work. As it stands any dumb **** could AWOX so it's nowhere near as impressive. |

Yeah, but at least they would have to work to getting up to a Director possition. The metta game will always be there which is fine, but lets at least make some people work for it. |

If a spy makes it to director status, they deserve to destroy the corporation. A spy getting to that level takes a lot of time and dedication.
The kick option would be okay, but a "squad leader" role would be ideal. Then spying and AWOXing could still be a tactic, but a lot more difficult to put into action. |

You'd still be allowed to bring in people from other corps, but only if your squad leader has permission to.
I'm saying that we need to create a sort of "role" that determines who can and can't join a PC match. |

Implement the same level of control you would in the real world.
Companies have various levels of trust for different employees. You don't have permission to waltz into the R&D lab on your first day of being hired to work the cafeteria. Secretaries don't get the root password for every computer system in the company.
So why are DUST merc corps so stupid as to let any new recruit take the MCC for a spin with whomever he wants to invite? Why is there absolutely no security mechanism in place to allow them to limit access to a PC battle?
It's like CPP handing out the root password for Tranquility to every single employee in the company. None too bright.
Oh, maybe CCP should form a holding company to own Tranquility and only have trusted employees in that company! Then they could register that company and perform all the tax and paperwork requirements for it too. It's a stupid workaround that is absurd when you apply it to anything else. |

In that case all the loyal players can go to a new corp, and be loyal to the cause. A joseph stalin will not last long as a universal power if he cripples his own corp. In the case of a rouge director, very well the director could get the boot from a ceo or vice ceo, and all the loyal troops are brought back in.
Such backstabbing could cause the loss of a planet, but in the long term, it takes months to get into such a position, if ever.
So go ahead, I will risk the rarity of a rouge director. |

The problem with this meta gaming is that directly applying EVE's mentality to this game doesn't work.
1) When a PVP battle occurs in EVE, you're not limited to only having 16 people being able to fight for you. 2) If you stupidly try to attack your own corp, you would quite possibly be flagged as a hostile right away and kicked from the Corp. 3) If you die, you aren't immediately able to come back to the fight and try team killing again.
So why are people so adamant on defending that it should be this easy to screw up PC and continually?
Just because it's acceptable in EVE to lie, cheat, and backstab doesn't mean it should be easy to do so. It certainly isn't in EVE. And yet people want to be able to do it so easily in Dust. It makes no sense. |
