I think that the racial specialization skills should be changed to one flat skill. For example the gallente assault suit skill would become medium assault suit and with multiple medium frame skills at 5 you wouldn't need to train a new skill to get in that race's suits. So if I have gallente medium frame at 5 and can use it's assault suits, once I get amarr medium frame at 5 I don't need to train another skill to use amarr assault suits.
Any thoughts? |

This would work exactly in-line with how T2 Ships work in EVE.
You can train Gallente Cruisers to level V, then finally unlock "Heavy Assault Cruisers" and train that. So long as you only have Gallente Cruisers at V, you can only use Gallente T2 HACs. But if you were to invest some time into Minmatar Cruiser V, you would then have access to both Gallente and Matari T2 HACs.
I see absolutely no problem with the game's skills adjusting to reflect that, although sometimes I get the feeling from the developers that they want it to be different from EVE.. just to be different? Regardless, the entire skill system needs some looking at. |

It came to mind because it's one of the better things that Eve brings to the table that Dust could mimic in my opinion. |
