Hi! Noob Dust player here.
I just got into Dust, and played a few instant battles. But I don't know how could I try out PC, which was the most intriguing part of Dust for me from the beginning.
According to the forums, I have to join a big corporation, which holds districts, and then I have to be selected by them to be sent on a PC battle.
Is this true? But what about if I'm not good enough (remember I'm a noob right now), but just want to experience and have fun with PC. Even if I join a big corp, they probable won't send me into a PC battle, because as I read in other threads, holding districts are important, and usually only the best players are sent there. |

That is unfortunately the case with Planetary Conquest, corporations invest a lot of ISK and effort into taking and holding these districts, and they want to make sure only the best of the best are there to defend them. DUST University had plans to hold a few districts to learn the newbies on how Planetary Conquest works, but due to certain people (*cough* Imps *cough*) DUST University is just an utter mess now and have lost their districts.
Honestly, the best chance you have at participating in Planetary Conquest is to join one of the smaller ones who are in need of more players, so they might have slightly lower standards on who they accept into PC, success is not guaranteed though. If you really want to help the bigger corporations on their PC efforts, you can always just ask them. Even if you are not the best of the best, I'm sure the bigger corporations could let you participate in one and get a feel for it, as long as you listen to the battle commander and do what is told(I could arrange you some time in PC if you want to join BurgezzE.T.F, my corporation).
But other than that, keep playing and improve your skills, and one day corporations will want to have you in their PC battles. |

Thanks for the advice, I will try to improve my skills and maybe get a shot later in PC. |

Hello little noob! Don't listen to what others say about PC being for the veterans! I'm part of The Unholy Legion of DarkStar and here we take everyone with us on PC!
Hell, if I keep an eye out I'll pull you in one of my squads for PC. The only thing you need to know/do is to listen to my commands, avoid being a ****, etc,.. So if you're interested try to apply to The Unholy Legion of DarkStar. Oh and to help with learning with the game have the video channel from our dear CEO Pyrex

You need to hang with someone who's got enough weight to have some effect in PC. A 5 person Corp isn't going to do it. Once you find yourself a group, you'll need to prove yourself as an asset somehow.
Your post is basically, "Hey guys, I know I'm level 5 in WoW but I want to start raiding the level 90 bosses, now, how can I do that?" |
