These are not bugs, balance concerns or "new stuffz plz" items, but rather things that I think the CPM should push CCP to get on top of in the effort to make the "One Universe, One War" thing more of a reality.
RP Forums: This has already been stated in this section so I wont beat a dead horse other then to say that if there is a way to have a way to merge, via url redirect or whatever, the DUST and Eve Online RP section so that both Eve players and Dust players can RP together that would be preferable.
ISD: The ISD is a player volunteer group from Eve Online, supported by CCP. Their roles vary depending on the departments of the player themselves but they do such things as write story events such as the assassination attempt on Tibus Heath, but they also chronicle player events such as the battle for Caldari Prime that we recently took part in. They manage the Eve Wiki, and while the DUST history has hasn't been as rich as the Eve lore yet, we have seen many firsts already that need to be chronicled such as SVER's taking of an entire planet and in the future things like, who was the first DUST corp to use planetary defenses to take down a Titan, who will take SVER down a peg, the rise and fall of the Imperfects.
DUST Gate: Eve Gate is a utility that many Eve Players use for things such as the Forums, but there is also the wiki section, the evelopidia where you can find everything from the stats as description of phased em artillery shells to a Titan. It is also a useful link to find Eve Chronicles, dev blogs and so many other things trying to list them all would be a waste of space here, check it out yourself. I personally would like to see the death of the current DUST website and forums in favor of moving the entire thing into a more streamlined "DUST Gate" site, with the ability to buy AURM packets from the site via log in, being able to "tweet" as it were to your contacts, corp, alliance and so on as the Eve Gate allows, set corp calender events like Eve Gate allows that are viewable in game and out of game. Pretty much, what Eve Gate has so should DUST gate, but they should also allow for some cross over. An Eve player should be able to log in on Eve Gate and go to the Dust forums and post while a Dust Player should be able to log in and post on the Eve forums.
These are not overnight items that can be taken care of by CCP or the CSM, but I think that these are good items to move forward with. |
