suddenly? Nope. I've personally made feedback threads about helping new players get into DUST easier.

If you truly cared, you would make an alt to round up random new players in the academy and teach them like I've been doing for the past few days. I don't even do this to recruit, I do it because CCP obviously doesn't want to do it.

I feel exactly the same right now. I just dropped out of the academy yesterday. Until that time those battles were fun, extremely well balanced and constantly waving back and forth. I really liked it.

But this changed immediatly after dropping out of the academy and jumping into any of the public matches. Protos, Protos, Protos. One slaughter party after another. Six matches and not one single kill! Even though I really had taken care of choosing the right skills in order to get better equipment, by the time I joined the public matches DUST just wasn't fun any longer.

If my friends asked me if DUST was worth being played I had to say: Absolutely no! This has nothing to do with the game itself but with the fact that it's completely overrun by all the veterans who are now hunting the random goups.

The only way to avoid that: AFKing! Seriously. With the current state of the game there is literally no other chance to compete against all those Protos than hiding or AFKing. Right now there is absolutely no point in fighting or even investing in anything else than Militia or Proto gear. Everything else in between is a complete waste of ISK.

There are already three of my friends who guit after they were constantly being farmed for two days by the veterans. CCP tried to transfer the idea of personal skill being more important than equipment and skills from EVE to DUST but this just doesn't seem to work at all for a FPS shooter.

Never the less, until a matchmaking system is implemented and working this game will lose a lot of new and potential players due to being one of the worst new player experiences out there so far. And until that hiding & AFKing will be king for new players.

To be clear:
I don't have anything against the veterans and their proto gear in person. They also can't choose their opponents. They are also restricted by the actual game mechanics. I'm against the current status quo of the game and the fact that these problems even exist after the game was launched. But unfortunately this game is very very far from being finished.

Think of it this way. If something isn't done to help new players outside of this academy b/s that'll last for what? A week before they get thrown into a proto orgy with the TAR working as a fluffer? That war is going to be a helluva lot shorter when we can't keep new players. This is what new players are going through right now:

So the d.uni sabotage was based on a new alt (no skills, leveled suits/weapons) got into a corp, joined the game then somehow squad'ed in proto players that then pulled the sabotage?

Wow I've been so busy with PC I had no idea it's a quick fix for ccp to make the time in the new player rooms longer right?

Nah we came in with straight militia fits, not a scrap of proto or isk costing gear on us. Confusion and mayhem in a battlefield can be a great aid to your survival.

Rebalancing the TAR is a quick fix, implementing an actual tutorial mode and actual matchmaking is a whole different beast. You say you care about new players? Better get your corp together to make some alts and teach these poor newberries or Dust 514 will wind up like fighting games before SFIV revived the genre that became niche after the 90's.

We in Eon. Understand your desire to want to join PC, it is the best part of dust 514 trust me.

But due to our enemies we are restricting recruitment. It is sad that cronos has Orion & rust 514 attacking us to delay us from destroying them. It is almost sadder The Orion Empire & Rust 514 is letting themselves get used. But if you can believe it dust community it gets even sadder <1000 are beating >4000. But the omg I can't believe it part is that cronos is losing this war so bad they now have to destroy PC for everyone with spies.... Look I got it they got us lol they delay us a little more. But after a spy springs the attack what next?

Anyway my point is Eons will soon have a safer system in place so that recruitment can continue and all members can enjoy PC.

This is to let the community know we understand this issue and we are prepares to fix it one way or the other until then new players to dust understand this is the way of New Eden. And again welcome to dust please have fun we love seeing 8000 members online.

And to ccp ill omens are loving PC I've been too busy kicking ass to say it but I truly love dust now and expect me to buy a elite merc pack an thx. Not kissing ass giving credit where its due..... Side note PC is still very buggy annoyly so but we know u will fix it.
