So. Have you ever been in a squad and seen a guy you would just love to call out too you're squad-mates, only you are not the Squad Leader? And you don't have a mic?
Well my idea is for squad members to be able too use a small portion of the Squad Leader UI and be able to 'paint targets' for the rest of the squad. It doesn't have to grant special WP or anything, just something to help with in-game co-ordination.
If you guys can think of any others I'll add them too the list below.

I would love to see more of these in-game communication tools, particularly as voice chat is bugged for me. The only issue I see is that before they introduce something like this they would need to fix the current issues with the orders system. It feels clunky and more often than not the orders will not stick unless you are issuing them from the map screen. I have found myself being killed a number of times from fiddling with the orders to try and select a target only to have it tell me the target is invalid and that I can't issue that command on that target etc. It seems it demands direct LOS to the target, and also (unless this has been fixed) seems to have a range limiting what you can select as a target. I understand LOS for an enemy, but I shouldn't have to "see" point A/B/C etc in order to tell squad members to attack it, and it shouldnt be so difficult to issue a defend order on a squad mate. So I am hoping for a fix to the current system.
But in terms of hypotheticals, 'painting' is a good one, but it would be great to have a list of simple commands like the voice menu in Planetside 2. |

Yeah. the SL UI does need too be tweaked to feel more smooth and steam-lined. But I don't see that happening any time soon.
