In EVE, the Caldari are known for their damage projection of their missiles. Sometimes a missile can have far longer range than a railgun.
In DUST, missiles don't quite reflect that. I suggest greatly increasing the range of missiles to equal that of railguns, if not more. This won't be overpowered because the dispersion of the missiles won't make for excellent sniping as the railgun. Even the smallest of missiles in EVE can go for KILOMETERS, and they are no longer than a couple meters. I don't see why a large missile turret can't be adapted to use these missiles. |

I have to say, Missiles should go longer, I don't know their range but my guess is 300 meters (I hit something from 239 meters away). But since they spread out it wouldn't be OP. Just a 100 or 200 more meters would be nice |

I definitely like the idea of a tank that's essentially an artillery Barrage Boat.

You've obviously never used missiles have you? They become inaccurate due to dispersion. One of the variants, the accelerated missile launcher, would be more accurate over the others at range as its description says.
To answer Principus, I've tested before with the fragmented launcher and noticed it has 300m, if not just slightly less. |

The missles in DUST are not the same as EVE missles, they are more like the rockets and hence short ranged. When they add more turret and weapon types they might also add more ammo variants including long range and homing missles. But that probably womt happen this year.
Such ranges would not be able physically too because of the atmosphere. |

Let's take a look at Eve missiles vs railguns, cruise missiles reach maybe 180km with max skills on a bonused hull, while rails can reach off grid with an unbonused hull and long range ammo |
