My Corp does Not own a District. We have won the 1st and 2nd battles by MCC destruction.
Now they have 10 Clones left and we need to spend another 80 million for the 3rd day battle!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
for a grand total of 240 million ISK for the Non-District Attacking Corp.
Was CCP even Thinking of this when they created Planetary Conquest? it's a Rhetorical question because we know the answer already. |

you only spend the 80 mil once, then instead of continuing the game assumes you want to retreat even when you win.
You are on a 60 minute timer from the start of the match. If you don't finish the match before then or go in and tell the game you want to continue attacking you retreat and you have to start over again. |

PC is only for the corporations that have the resources to effectively participate. If your a small corp, the best you can hope for is to be hired to ring for a larger corp with the isk to hire you. |

why cant the attacker just take that district in the first battle and fight till the clone count is gone from the full 450? if the mcc is destroyed you lose 150 or more clones instantly and if you lose all your CRUs and respawn points you lose the match or port in like a ambush map
Also the null cannons shut down or perm controlled by the remaining MCC
Both sides then fight till they run out of clones they brought with. attackers can bring a full 450
That sounds pretty harden the **** up to me. why dont we do that? |

shouldn't be that bad but it is. oh well FW will be fun till some more content comes out. btw when is the corp tax coming? or the pve and did you guys finally put in a combat training tutorial yet for noobs.. tried of watching people sitting in the redline trying to figure out how to melee and which is nade throw. |

how much is it worth to you to insure that they lose even if they buy a genolution pack to reinforce their district? I'm sure we can come to an arrangement. |

Nope. This is legit. Makes it hard on smaller/less wealthy Corps, but makes it less practical for the big Corps to divide into smaller sub-Corps and try to steal everything then consolidate after the fact. |

Planetary Conquest is only for mega corporations, that have been around since the closed beta... everyone else is excluded from this "thing" for Very Important People. |

Not sure if the functions are there but if it is then it sounds like the smaller corps need to group together in an Alliance, either formal or informal if they want to get into PC.
Though I believe formal alliances require and eve element for it to work. |

In this thread, some people are upset that their small corp can't hold out against a big corp, e.g. Panther. No, it isn't for the "mega" corporations, you can participate too. Just have a decent sized corp (anything under 50 players is too small) and get stuck in. And no, 50 players isn't mega. A mega corporation would be 500+.
To OP, I believe that if you have clones left over, they'll be refunded, so you don't pay the full 80m. Or, you do, but get some of it back.

I agree that sounds stupid having to buy 150 clones just to kill 10 and claim a district. It should only take 2 attacks to beat someone.
To everyone saying that 240m isk is nothing, remember that it only cost the defender 80m to grab that district in the first place.
Paying 3 Clone packs to claim something that cost someone only 1 clone pack to claim due to initial scramble and/or luck doesn't seem right. It only serves to discourage corps to get into PC in the first place.
This is something CCP needs to look at carefully. Do they want to appeal to the greater console player market which I believe was their intent with launching exclusively on PS3. Or do they want Dust to be played by just Eve players who have a vested interest and treat it as a side game . |

If you were lucky to grab 3 districts at launch you will be able to attack/ with just the clones you generate. For anyone who wasnt they need to buy 3 packs just to claim 1 district and then risk being pushed out again by those who have excess clones.
To me the whole system seems flawed. I'd like to see if a corp with no current districts is able to claim and hold something right now. The mechanics are stacked heavily against them.
The minimum 150 clone loss also serves to further exacerbate the situation and reduce the effectiveness of player skill. What if your corp is really good, goes in and barely loses and clones and massacres the enemy. Well you just lost that clone pack (150 clones) and have to buy another one regardless of how well you did. You would have to kill all the defenders clones in 2 battles straight to win the district, otherwise end up with the situation of the OP and have to buy a 3rd pack. |

Also everyone here saying that 250 million isk is pocket change is pretty much right. I mean a decently sized corp that wants to do planetary conquest can earn that within a day easy. |
