Dear CCP and/or CPM members, I won't put out the littany of reasons the mass driver is not the weapon it once was, I just want to know if reducing some of its Uprising nerfs is being discussed or if it is just going to get its 10% damage increase liek all the other weapons and that is it?
I don't even really need to know any specifics about discussed changes, just if there are actually still discussions specifically about making this weapon the excellent suppression/cover/assist weapon that logibro's like myself used to love.
I will point out one thing though, its a little silly to me that the flaylock pistol has greater damage, fire rate, projectile velocity and reload speed than the MD and it is just fine while apparently the MD (which was very much a specialty weapon) was considered too OP. |

There are bugs surrounding the mass driver and other similar weapons.
It would be more ideal to fix the bugs first before tweaking numbers. |

Flaylock is OP too, apparently CCP wont balance any other weapons until they are UP or OP during in-house playtests though. |

Thanks IWS, this is just the sort of info I was hoping for, bugs get fixed first, then we can whine about number tweaks. Sounds like plan to me! |

So a sidearm with almost as much splash damage as a proto forge isn't OP? Ok, lets buff tanks to 1000 per shot on blasters, ARs up to 100 (with the tac being at about 300 to 500 OFC), lasers will just kill you if it touches you, etc. Im sure all that stuff would be well balanced too right? |

Oh, I'm sorry, I didn't realize that they also had the same direct hit damage and the same splash range. Have you ever even used the flaylock? All my kills so far have been direct hits because the splash sucks, or the missile goes too far, or the red jumped. It's either bad hit-detection or crappy splash range, but it certainly isn't OP at the moment.
It also does very poor damage against shields.
But yeah, you tell yourself it's OP and a "noob tube" |
