It's actually a liquor night. Shots before and after PC matches. And a lot of random drinking in between. |

I was actually going for footage of my LAV flipping after contact like it does all the time and managed to get this. I'll take it.
The game before, I hit a guy and did 2-3 barrel rolls and spun on my nose like a top. Sadly, I wasn't recording. |

That video perfectly illustrates why there is no problem with the LAVs.
Most of the guys you ran over where either standing still in the middle of the road, or they where completely oblivious to their surroundings. They obviously were not paying attention to the sound of an approaching LAV.
The end of the video shows the perfect counter to an LAV... an AV nade.
So please, quit bitchin about LAVs.
Take cover or die. |

Yes, you can. I got stuck on a rock/crate/structure earlier and got shot out by a scrambler rifle. No damage to my LAV. |

I will agree with that... although you CAN shoot the driver it is very hard. I have been killed while driving an LAV a few times... always while not moving more than 1 mph. |

Lucky, I've been sniped out of my LAV like 10 times. |

It was a free LAV. I didn't expect to survive so long. I got peppered by an LAV turret and other small arms, but that last guy was the only one with AV anything. I think that's the problem. People don't want to have to switch to non-infantry-effective gear to deal with vehicles. |

thats it exactly DS it takes 2-3 nades to pop my custom militia saga but that is about the right number to me might be able to take 4 standard nades if I had proto stuff on it though. but thats still only like 2 proto nades and a weee bit of hp. I like where LAV's are at just need to replace the free one with the bike that was rummored |

my personal best(and reason I wish I had a recorder and capable hard computer) was hitting a fat suit, getting flipped in the air form the hit(did a... whats it called... basically one forward rotation with a clockwise rotation at the same time.) and landing on some poor guy.
Could not have planned it better, also loving the new physics engine when it lines up crap like that. |

I think over 90% of the people who go LAV Smashing use free LAVs. I know that's all I've ever used. That's where the issue comes in. People complaining about things being OP when in reality, they can easily counter them. It takes one person with a Forge Gun/Swarm Launcher/AV Nade to take them out and whoever's in it with it.
I understand that GOOD LAVs are strong, but they're not exactly cheap. They should take a beating from AV nades, small arms fire, etc. They're upgraded and beefed up a little bit. The person skilled into the LAVs and pay a solid chunk of change per LAV. They should be durable. I'll never understand why people complain about ticky tack stuff and then wonder why the game is shifting towards an all AR battlefield.

My first LAV kill was while I was barrel rolling down a hill. I wasn't recording then. I like the new physics, but it does need tweaking. They're extremely top heavy and roll quick. Before we slid, now we roll. The control changes help that a TON though. I still think adding R2/L2 controls to LAVs was one of my top 5 additions to the game. |

AV nades dont work on DS ( unless they are touching the ground and unmanned )
Pretty much agree on everything else tho, and AV nades are less effective against Shields so people with AV nade problems just need to run more Shields |

To be honest, I have a lot more fun in LAVs than I do in my heavy suit. 1) I don't lose any ISK and 2) it's gratifying taking out a Proto DTAR user from behind. |

gotta say, I love the new physics just for the fun factor of rolling down a hill 4 times because I tapped a rock, accidentally snowballing into a guy, and then landing right side up. |
