Lone wolfing is a pain in the tookis in Uprising. Hopefully we'll get something like this when they start adding Arena style modes. It would be fun to bet on something like that too; trying to figure out which team of randoms will come out on top.

If not, HTFU battlefield is just as much of a squad/team incentive game. Having a no squad variant of the academy wouldn't prepare anyone for the real deal. They would just all of a sudden be getting pub stomped by proto corps. At least the academy allows newbies to pick up the fundamentals

I have a toon that is low SP/WP and I usually go 10-15+/0-1 K/DR solo in academy. I think one match I died 3 times due to running into groups of people just swinging aimlessly with my nova knives for fun. Get good.

Apparently those devs were smart enough to solve the game design riddle CCP has been trying to solve. P.S.: I have no clue about MOBA games, so I only know the generics about their matchmaking systems.

Being rolled by a squad or being the ones doing the rolling just enforces the concept that team work and squadding up is the way to go. You need to see the different rates of success betwee squad and no squad.

I have not even used the AR in Uprising yet. Still, I agree we need a squad less game mode. Similar to COD's Mercenary Mode.

It absolutely needs to happen, especially now with 6 player squads. The stomping is absolutely ridiculous when you get a 6-man squad of players who are organized vs a bunch of random solo players.

The squad system is fine. If you want to run solo, prepare to be outmaneuvered by a coordinated squad.

Ive gone from getting a K/D ratio of about 1.5 to about 0.2, my bullets barely seem to make a dent in the opposition's armor yet I die after what feels like two shots. I look at the SP required to gain skills and ultimately better gear and sadly it looks as though I'll be cannon fodder for several months before I can compete again, even while using active and passive skill boosts. Such a shame as I really like the concept of this game but I think I'll be giving it away soon, getting slaughter battle after battle is just not fun.
