1. Why do I spawn in the middle of enemy squads? 2. Why does my initial spawn put me across the map from my squad? Would it not make more sense to spawn squads together? 3. Why is there no proper matchmaking system? 4. Why do I unload a clip point blank into someones chest and get no hitmarkers? 5. Why do grenade throws not always register leaving me standing there doing nothing instead of throwing a grenade? 6. Why is there a skill point cap? How are new players suppose to catch up to players from closed beta? 7. Why was there no character wipe considering there is no matchmaking system that keeps top geared players out of battles with brand new players? 8. Why are the controls sluggish and unresponsive? 9. Why was this game moved from beta to official launch given all the core issues that have not been corrected?
These are not rhetorical questions. I am struggling to understand why the game "heralded as the new era of FPS" has so many issues at launch. Do any of the devs actually play FPS? I'm not trying to sound like a ****. I really want to like this game. It is such a great idea but poorly implemented. |

Mostly: lag
The reason we didn't get a skill wipe is because three months from now we will still have the same problem but you will be dishing it out instead. A skill wipe from open beta would be dumb as it was open for everyone, you should have started earlier. This problem will persist as long as the game exists, except you will be writing this exact same post to some other newbie qq'ing about how everyone has better stats. |

A good chunk of this is just plain wrong.
2 - I assume you are referring to Ambush games. Squads do spawn together. I think you have a major lag issue based on some of your points.
6 - Removing the skill cap will not help new players "catch up", it will simply allow the veterans to get ahead even faster. After about 3 months of play, each player will have enough SP to have one suit/weapon combo maxed out. After that, there is no need to "catch up". That means we have something like 3 months to get to top tear equipment/skill. This seems fine to me.
7- There is now an Academy instant battle type that new players are put in. They do not face veterans anymore, at least not until they reach a certain number of accrued WP.
9 - Because it matters not. The game has been available to anyone who wants to play for some time now.

If a good chunk of what I have said is wrong why do you only comment on 4 of my questions? That is not "a good chunk" but less than half of my questions. I do not and have never had lag issues to this extent that would explain away any of my questions with any game on my PS3 or PC.
I repeatedly spawn away from my squad in Ambush and Skirmish games. Hell many times my initial spawn will put me in the middle of enemy units.
Academy instant battles are fine but it still does not alleviate the problem of new players, i had a measly 750k sp when i "graduated" from academy, facing teams of squads with proto suit/weapons or both when they are at a clear disadvantage. |

!. bad spawn mechanics, getting better. Two recent improvements. 2. lag 3. see 1 4. lag 5. lag 6. to prevent no-life gamers from dominating and CCP wants the SP to take time to acquire. 7. Because a character wipe would have inspired many to move on; the match making system was in the works. Which you haven't seen as yet apparently. 8. Bad input system. Old controllers suffer more. Sony wireless headsets interfere with DS3, at least how DUST interfaces with the DS3. It causes many controller resets. This will slow everything up. 9. As stated. What is the difference when Sony PS Plus players got Closed Beta Keys and anybody could get the Open Beta.

1. Quit playing Ambush...and if you won't then its random spawns that are much better and still improving 2. see comment #1 3. They have introduced Academy now...so play it if you can if you cannot then they can not judge how bad you may be 4. lag, or bad eye sight? 5. known issue...not sure here same problems 6. if no cap the vets will just continue to distance themselves...I do think the cap should be monthly not weekly so that if you miss a few days you have a chance to catch up. 7. see comment #3 8. because... not sure they are worse this build it seems 9. because wasn't it cool that it is called DUST 514 and was released on 5/14

6. It doesnt matter if you have just begun and max out every skill that affects one fitting or you have all skills maxed out, there still just these skill have an effect that affect your fitting. The only advantage of more SP is that you have a greater variety. Just max out one fitting after another and you-Śll see. |

1) you do not, people spawn with their squads in specific spots, some that are close to enemy spawns 2) they do not 3) because there is not the player base to do so, as you could be waiting in a match forever for an opponent 4) you must suck at shooting, or lag 5) never seen that happen, you may again have a lag issue 6) if there was no cap, I would already have everything I need to absolutely demolish everyone with a logi suit 7) the character wipe would work temporally, but soon the new players would become much like today's vets, creating the same problem 8) this your only illegitimate problem. the control wheel is off, but they are working on a solution 9) the core issues are fine, did you remember BO2 on launch? it was terrible.
Overall, if you don't like what they did, do it yourself |

Lol. Ok jackass, see everyone else's clarifications. A good chunk, to the best of my knowledge, is not scientifically defined anywhere to be necessarily more than half.
Also, stop lying. How do you "spawn away from my squad in skirmish"? Have you even played a skirmish game? In skirmish, because you obviously don't know, you pick your spawn point.
Based on your own comment, the academy did alleviate the problems of new players, right up until you left it.
I think everyone else has covered your points in more depth than they deserve. |
