Why doesn't the HAV have a look back option like on the LAV? It is quite annoying when you have someone blapping you from the front but you need to back up but you have to turn your turret to see. I figured this would be intentional to make it harder on the HAV pilot to shoot and see behind them. Just feels like it would be a hell of a lot easier with that look behind you option. |

It's "turret" not "turrent" and that's exactly why you don't have the option.
You have a turret to control.
What I want to know is why we can't get R2/L2 on Accelerate/Reverse for HAVs. |

Yeah my fault misspelled that fixed it now. And yeah a R2/L2 option would be nice. But even though you have a turret to control doesn't mean you shouldn't be given a look behind option as your not controlling just the turret you're controlling the entire tank. |

Yes, but you're still controlling the turret.
Actually, thinking about this, a "rear view" option where you hold the button and see out the wrong end of the turret might be interesting.
EDIT: Although it would probably negate some of the deliberate balance restrictions with the way turret control works. You're not MEANT to be able to look one way and shoot the other. Tanks have the control scheme they do partly in order to give the main gun blindspots while it's moving. |

What I want to know is why we can't get R2/L2 on Accelerate/Reverse for HAVs. Because everything must be difficult and cumbersome to use. That's why the LAVs don't control like any other vehicle in an FPS and you actually have to stop to be accurate with its turrets and all the vehicle repair tools are a pain in the ass to lock on with instead of them being proximity based so you can actually focus on driving. You remember that build your army trailer where at the end, a bunch of LAVs, HAV, and derpships traveled in formation while spider tanking? Never going to happen with this godawful control scheme. |
