Stocks. Planetary conquest is great. But how can the Single player feel like they can accomplish something by them selfs? Allow players to buy stocks from corps and sell those stocks to a market. No one will buy those stocks but. You dont really Buy from a player. Its all done like buying a item from the market. What does this do? It for one will allow players to make money as well as support the corp they like. When you buy stocks from a corp, The corp gets the money. A corps worth is by the number of districts they own. So a corp that only has one District. Will have very cheap stocks. A corp that owns alot of districts stock's will be worth alot more. Meaning you can buy alot of stocks from a corp just starting to help them out. And when they become very successful you can sell those stocks and make a huge profit. But you would have to know when to. As if they dont get very powerful. Those stocks will be worthless.

Sounds good, would also allow players to help shift the balance in a very simple way whilst still retaining a meaningful consequence. |

Eve Online has corporations that have a set number of shares that are spread across several directors by the CEO of the corporation. They are not traded in the market at all, but these shares allow each director certain level of control over the corporation's assets and wallet as well as voting power among the leadership. I don't really see shares working in a secondary market where commodities like weapons and ships are the true items of value to be bought and sold. |

What I was trying to do was think of a progression a single player could make that still effected the mass of players with out being in a corp. A way for a single person to progress down something other then skill tree's. Cause that only effected the persons combat. and not the entirety of the player base. But stocks was just something that came to me. Really I got the idea from another game where you bought mechs and you can buy stocks and sell them. You had sort of an online feel to the game even tho it wasnt online. And you bought chips that were personas. and such. I liked the idea of playing with stocks. |

In that case, you'll still get the same satisfaction once the market opens up and you're able to sell your unwanted salvage to another player who likes to have one at a bargain price. Keep in mind that CCP will more than likely dwindle or shut off the NPC supply while Eve/Dust players have control over their production. They'll work just the same way as stocks do in the real world. |

Like their personal stock or a more they get the money like how IMVU works when players make content for the game? |
